Hi, since I use IP TV my HTPC make more noise... After tests it seem that this filter made a heavy user of I/O on the C:\ drive. I use no swap file, time shifting on a ram drive, is it possible to use another drive for buffers ? Or use memory ? (I already set logs to 0).

After a few days testing I am pleased to report that the latest filter version works superb for UDP.
TvService hardly has any CPU usage at all and there are practically no dropped packets whatsoever!

    Georgius, you da man :D

    Hi,

if you set logging verbosity to 0, than filter doesn't access to any hard drive. Filter uses hard drive only for log files and also for reading configuration before starting playing. Anyway, could you at least specify which protocol do you use for IPTV?

New version of filter released (in first post). Fixed not correctly unsubscribing from multicast group (UDP, RTP protocols) and also NULL packets (PID 0x1FFF) are excluded from discontinuity detection.

Georgius, what is "discontinuity detection" exactly? Are there any benefits for having it on?

It's the same functionality as in TsReader, just check if packets have right counter value. There isn't any benefit from this, only in case when packets are dropped (lost) somewhere between filter and player (it never happen for me till today).

Hi all! I have found some issues, when try to watching several channels. I dont know, is it fault of iptv filter or not, but in mpiptv log found some strings about it - when i try to watch udp channel, it says that it connects to url, after that disconnects, i think?
Those channels in logs has number 175 (udp://@239.195.0.70:1234) and 173 (udp://@239.195.0.59:1234) - they are working in vlc. Also i must say that I'm using patch for tvserver to watch channels with sid=0 and tsid=0 and pid=0 - all this fields in table tuningdetails is set to 0, but other channels with those sid=0 and tsid=0 are working (for example channel number 1 url udp://@239.195.0.1:1234 are working fine, u can see it in logs). So i wonder, is it problem regarding to iptvfilter or not?
And another question - in MPIPTV filter log i have found smth about "discontinuity detected" - what is that? Do i need somehow to tune iptv filter config file? now I'm using it with default settings.
Second small log file is file, created with recommendation from 1s post with log verbosity set to 4 in mpiptvfilter.
Update - i have created a new playlist with one of this not working channel - url udp://@239.195.0.70:1234 , - so when i trying to scan it in tv-server it finds nothing, but this url is working in vlc!
