    The problem seems different now , here a zap from France 4 to "La Chaîne Parlementaire" makes a freeze (more than 40 seconds) and i need to kill MP.
    Just Before the France 4 channel as been waiting for 10 seconds to play

    Can you replace MPIPTV_RTSP.dll with attached library, try again and send logs?

    It's the same with this DLL. Sometimes just 5 seconds are necessary to change channel, sometimes 10, and sometimes it freezes more than 1 minut and i have to kill TVService (like the last change on the log)

    It's better !
    no freeze during my tests.
    The standard time to change is between 3 and 5 seconds. Sometimes 7 seconds. Just for one change it was 13 seconds (the first time i changed for LCP Channel) .

    At one moment on Arte HD Channel, the picture was frozen, but i was able to change the channel, and come back again on Arte HD, and it was immediatly ok. So just a litte bug, not sure of the source (is it due to your plugin or not ?)

    Thanks for this good job...

    I'm glad that's working. Try as much as possible to test if it's really working.

    Switch time 3 - 5 seconds is normal. I have average switching time on MP 1.1.3 5 seconds. I measure time from pressing button (next or previous channel) to get video. The problem with LCP is that most of this time (8 seconds) takes loading FILE protocol. I don't why ... probably your harddrive was powered off, suspended or something similar.

    At one moment on Arte HD Channel, the picture was frozen, but i was able to change the channel, and come back again on Arte HD, and it was immediatly ok. So just a litte bug, not sure of the source (is it due to your plugin or not ?)
    Hard to say. Because we're working with experimental version it can be filter problem. But common reason for this kind of problem is codec combination. The best way how to identify problem is change in MPIPTVSource.ini file (configuration file of filter) option DumpRawTS to 1. It produce raw TS file for each instance of filter. So if your picture is frozen, close MP stop TvService and find last modified TS file in TV service log folder. Try to view with another player (the best for this purpose is VLC). If played successfully than problem is in codecs.

    My ISP provides access to IPTV. I have a list of channels. and the use of VLC player you can view them and they all work fine, but when I put this play list in mediaportal, and begin scanning channels, the TV server finds nothing.
    I have a 1.1.7.0 version tv server (MediaPortal_Setup_1.2.0_Beta.exe), may be a problem with this version of mediaportal, because the MediaPortal_Setup_1.2.0_Alpha.exe was added all scanned fine.
    Put my log files and playlist.

    As well I have a question about the ini the file. Where it should lie in win xp?

    Another question about the lines of log file.
    Code:
    16-08-2011 20:11:01.437 [ dd8] [{843F7451-9000-416B-BBEA-B674F2439787}] [Info]    CMPIPTV_UDP: ParseUrl(): Start
    16-08-2011 20:11:01.437 [ dd8] [{843F7451-9000-416B-BBEA-B674F2439787}] [Info]    CMPIPTV_UDP: ClearSession(): Start
    16-08-2011 20:11:01.437 [ dd8] [{843F7451-9000-416B-BBEA-B674F2439787}] [Info]    CMPIPTV_UDP: ClearSession(): End
    16-08-2011 20:11:01.437 [ dd8] [{843F7451-9000-416B-BBEA-B674F2439787}] [Info]    CMPIPTV_UDP: ParseUrl(): url: udp://@232.0.1.1:3000
    16-08-2011 20:11:01.437 [ dd8] [{843F7451-9000-416B-BBEA-B674F2439787}] [Info]    CMPIPTV_UDP: ParseUrl(): local address: 232.0.1.1
    16-08-2011 20:11:01.437 [ dd8] [{843F7451-9000-416B-BBEA-B674F2439787}] [Info]    CMPIPTV_UDP: ParseUrl(): local port: 3000
    16-08-2011 20:11:01.437 [ dd8] [{843F7451-9000-416B-BBEA-B674F2439787}] [Info]    CMPIPTV_UDP: ParseUrl(): source address: (null)
    16-08-2011 20:11:01.453 [ dd8] [{843F7451-9000-416B-BBEA-B674F2439787}] [Info]    CMPIPTV_UDP: ParseUrl(): source port: 0
    16-08-2011 20:11:01.453 [ dd8] [{843F7451-9000-416B-BBEA-B674F2439787}] [Info]    CMPIPTV_UDP: ParseUrl(): End

    I mean a string specifying the local address and port.
    Code:
    local address: 232.0.1.1
    local port: 3000
    source address: (null)
    source port: 0
    Is not the source of a broadcast? Why 232.0.1.1 was a local address? This is the source address to a playlist
    Code:
    #EXTM3U
    #EXTINF:0,Первый Национальный (1)
    udp://@232.0.1.1:3000

    Hi georgius,

    First, I have to say thank you for your hard job.

    I've been expected for a while a support of RTSP, and hopefully you did it. It's working well with your last version.

    As my brandwitch is good, I can normally have 2 channels on the same time. So I tried to create 2 IPTV cards.

    But now I have a problem : the second card can't be tuned. I always have an "unknow error" message into MP.

    I think I have a little idea why : you always use UDP port 45000, for all instances.

    I have this for all channels, even if I use 2 cards : 16-08-2011 20:22:34.188 [54b0] [{34D8C9E5-46DA-4448-9A48-55F3AC03BD26}] [Info] CMPIPTV_UDP: ParseUrl(): url: udp://@127.0.0.1:45000

    Is that normal ? Am I totally wrong in my diagnostic ? Is there a way for you to use a different port for each instance ?

    Log joined, I basically start a record on the 1st card, and then tried to watch an another one.

    I hope you'll be able to do something :)

    Cheers.

    Smeulf.

    I'm on holidays, so I'll provide very limited support. MP 1.2.0 Beta has problem with scanning channels, look
    this thread. I suggest using MP 1.1.3 or latest SVN.

    The ini file have to be placed in data folder of tv service (log folder is in this folder).

    Don't worry about source and local address, your addresses are correct if they are working in VLC.

    I know problem with same UDP port and I'll fix it when I return (2 weeks).
