    @Vasilich
    I wonder if there is any progress regarding this issue? Any chance that we can have this fixed in MP 1.7 final?
    Many thanks!

    Upgraded to the latest version (1.7.1), and again, stuck with wrong encoding...
    Any news appx. when can we expect the fix to be included? Will it be possible for the next release?

    @kszabo Which site are you using for xmltv grabbing? I have some mixed results from port.hu. Any suggestions are welcome until we have a fix for this issue, thanks!

    I'm not intending to work on any fix for TVE 3. As it says in the release news for MP 1.7: TV Server is in code freeze while we work on the next version. The intention is not to do anything more in TVE 3 unless it is a critical stability fix.

    Understood! I hope it will be finally be resolved with TVE 3.5. Until then, we are stuck with wrong characters.

    For Hungarian users: I have a working patch for Hungarian UPC cable (DVB-C) regards this EPG issue. Ping me if you want to the patch.
