It's surely because i'm on my progdata and mediaportal.xml and i see something strange with your files, it's when i start/stop TV and play recorded TV, i can see a little backscreen @ start and stop.

It didn't happen on my setup (i'm going to try your dshowhelper to see if it comes from there).

OK. First run with test build. Started TV->Played a recording->Play TV (lockup).

Chrome Iron also had issues (stopped responding on this page) at the same time (or when I ran log collector) and said a plugin had stopped responding. It's OK now I said Yes to kill the plugin, which seems to have been Shockwave Flash.

I don't think I changed anything major in MP Config (mainly just Music/Videos folders, disabled skin sounds). I put my old Hauppauge HCW.xml in ProgData - InputDeviceMappings, to get my remote setup how I like.

Does this build have your core v8? Is it worth me trying with the subs default off core you gave me before, because with my old install using that stopped the lockups compared to v8?

I've had TV running in the background for a while and just noticed that it's running very jerky now and stats show the Act FPS as 15-25FPS, even though render time is steady around 6.0-6.5ms.

After making the logs, I stopped and restarted TV and it was back to 50FPS again.

Yes the build contain that CC patch (v8 is the same as v7 the only diff between both is a fix for a config folder).

You can't the core for only subtitle on/off, i will do another core for that build
I didn't follow exactly the thing with Chrome, do you mean that chrome stop working in the same as MP ?

We are agree that you didn't put it back all your plugins right ?

Yeah, I thought I'd try the other core but soon found it wasn't compatible

Yeah, with Chrome I had lots of tabs open (as usual) but was on this one and it just stopped responding (couldn't scroll, type) but wierdly I could change to another tab, which was OK, but if I came back to this one it still wasn't responding and then Chrome completely stopped responding, until eventually I got an error about a plugin stopped working and I let it kill that, and then a bar appeared at the top saying that Shockwave Flash had crashed.

Thanks for the complete build. I'll give that a go. With the previous one, I'm a bit confused as TV Server config still had all my settings, even though I'd moved the MP folders off of my C:\. I know that it stores some data in the MySQL database but surely not all the settings?

No, I haven't put any plugins back, not even StreamedMP skin yet

MP locked up first time I tried TV after booting my PC from cold this morning.

The complete build seems to be a bit confused as well

It only gives me the Fresh Install option, but even after adding (backup) to the end of both Team MediaPortal folders, the install still shows TV Server 1.2.1 and TV Plugin 1.21 as installed and only shows Mediaportal 1.21 as going to be installed. I killed both the TV service and MySQL and I don't think it should be able to see the renamed folders.

Not surprisingly, the result is that it hasn't installed the TV Server part of MP, although it has created an empty folder!

Log collector gave an error now 'cos it couldn't find ProgData - MediaPortal.xml (I guess it hasn't been created because I haven't tried to run MP) which stops it making a zip, so I'll just upload the install.log.

All this log collecting has made me wonder if the DXDiag part couldn't be sped up as that is the slowest part by far. Surely these files could be kept from the first run, avoiding needing to wait whilst they're generated every time. It's not like the hardware's likely to have changed from one run to the next is it?

Can you retry but by keeping only your progdata folder ? (keep a backup too).
I know that with separate installer it can be installed over your actual installation but i would like to avoid this (because surely somes party config or dll broke something).
I know that when make test if some old dll was keep in folder (program files) even if not used, it can be load (weird lol).

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear but I didn't keep anything when installing the complete build but it still thought TV Server was installed and so didn't install it.

I didn't keep anything when installing the separate installers either, but that did install TV Server.

I think it left information in registry
The only way so, it will to uninstall MP (so you have to left correct folder (but keep backup of it)).
@ uninstall is to select the first option (not the one about delete all)
