It's surely true, because i connect manually filter between them.

Ah, that's cool. Glad I'm not imagining things! Better to be slow than not work anyway :)

I'll try v8. I've just had another problem going from E4 to BBC1 (which is recording) with v7 (IMDB+ still disabled) though. I tried Play Recording and Play Live and just got black screen, or after a while error "Could not find channel". I got it working eventually somehow!

Ok will look into log :)

This is binaries with only subtitle on change :) let's see how it's work for you :)

Cool. Got to pop out, but I'll try it out when I get back :)

I don't want to sound rude or ungrateful for all the work you're doing on your patch, but I was wondering if there's an easier way just to patch MP to simply change the subtitles to default off instead of default on? I think your patch is perhaps more complicated than that, as you're also removing the CC selection.

Maybe that's not as easy as it sounds though :) I certainly don't pretend to understand what goes on 'under the hood'

Sure and i didn't get this wrong lol, Smeulf doing a patch for that and i take it to put in my patch, i will post binaries to see how is handle on your side.
But if you are ok i would like to continu with you and my patch because even if i didn't see like you, i'm pretty sure that it will happen for other.
    Thanks :)

Thanks. Sure, I'd like to keep helping trying to debug the issue with your patch on my system as it will hopefully be better in the end with the redundant CC option removed (for UK users) :)

I will try yes maybe a strange thing can happen from this :)
Could you also try with original dshowhelper ?
In fact Core v8 is the same as v7 just change in logging line. This is really strange !!! ;) when MP locked up IMDB+ was disable ?
    Will look into log too.
    Thanks :)

    Yes, I haven't re-enabled any plugins.

I'll try with original dshowhelper, although I seem to recall the reason I'm using the part_DWM one is because MP doesn't play nice on my dual-screen system with the original, so it might make things worse :)

It would be nice to see by running one screen too :) To see how it does :)
    Thanks :)

Sure, I'll try that with core v8 with the original and part_DWM dshowhelper.

The subtitles on change seems to be working fine. Tested with TV->playback recording->TV multiple times :)

EDIT: Also wanted to let you know that recently I haven't seen the render time increasing when MP loses focus, regardless of which core.dll I'm using.

OK, tested with standard dshowhelper and core v8 and MP locked up going from TV->playing a recording first time I tried, so it doesn't seem to be related to dshowhelper.

    I'll try single-screen next.

Just tested again in debug mode (with standard dshowhelper and core v8 again) and that seems fine. In fact, starting playback recording seems a lot faster. Starting TV seems about the same and takes maybe 4 seconds.

I'll try disabling some more plugins (Fanart Handler, Skin Translations and then MovPic, TVSeries) to see if that helps normal mode at all.

No, disabling those plugins didn't help either I'm afraid.

Let me know if it would still help to zip up and upload my Mediaportal folders to the FTP (it's only about 33MB zipped). I just want to be sure there's nothing containing my login details for Youtube, etc in there!

Why in debug it's working can you try default skin as well ? :)
    Thanks.
