I think it left information in registry
The only way so, it will to uninstall MP (so you have to left correct folder (but keep backup of it)).
@ uninstall is to select the first option (not the one about delete all)

That's no problem. I've backed up my normal install onto another partition anyway, so I'm not going to lose anything important

Actually, bit of a problem. I don't get any uninstall option when running the install, so it's like part of doesn't think TV Server's installed, so I can't uninstall it, whilst the other part thinks it is, so I can't install it!

Anyway, I've got TV Server installed now by running the separate package you sent me so I hope that's OK. Let me know if not

Ah, no that didn't work as MP now says different versions of MP/TV Server are installed.

So I ran the TV Server install again and uninstalled it from there and then I was able to run the complete install package and install just the TV Server part and now I can start MP.

I notice when I run TV Server config straight after installing, under Manual Control it shows my second Tuner highlighted red and subchannels says 1. I think in the past I've seen this and it's said Grabbing EPG but now it doesn't say that, so I'm not sure if it is grabbing EPG and just doesn't say or if it's doing something else

OK, just done some testing with "Enable DVB Subtitles" unticked and I couldn't get it to crash.

Went from TV->Play recording->TV, etc quite a few times. I did find that the first few times I went from playing recording->TV it stopped after a couple of seconds though (probably that old PlayerFactory issue again!).

I think I'll try installing StreamedMP next.

Effectively, PlayerFactory issue is again here. I need to find why
Cool that you have succeed about TVServer, i think my complete build has keep svn tag for tvserver, i don't know why.
So it seems that we have progress if it didn't locked up.

OK, seems to be OK with StreamedMP

The next run I accidentally went to Teletext (hadn't reconfigured my Remote, so buttons didn't do what I expected!) and selected Hidden from the right-menu and MP stopped working. It seemed like a different sort of lockup to before, as I could still move my mouse to MP's screen, but I couldn't get MP to do anything and the clock was stuck at 17:28. Anyway, different problem and I've reconfigured my remote to avoid this happening again, but thought I should mention it.

I also tried to set my remote TV button to No Condition->Window "TV" and Window "TV"->Window "Recorded TV" so that I could get to the latter quickly by pressing TV twice, but it doesn't work and stays on Window "TV". Window "TVfullscreen"->Window "TV" is also in there but I don't think that should stop this working.

Next I ticked "Enable DVB subtitles" and MP locked up first time I went from TV->play recording, so unfortunately it looks like we've still got the same problem

Arf so when it's ticked -> MP Locked up and on your release if it was unticked it freeze too right ?

On this build it only locks up when DVB Subs is ticked.

Looking at post #33 I thought the normal build was OK with this unticked, but then in post #36 I found it still locked up when playing recordings and in post #40 I found it was locking up playing TV (in normal mode, not Debug Mode). I don't suppose I re-ticked this between post #36 and #40, so it seems it was locking up with both TV and recordings even when this was unticked, so this version does seem to be an improvement

Sorry, that one's no good here. It made my entire PC lock up and I had to do a hard reset!

It looked quite promising at first and I was able to play several channels/recordings OK, but then it locked up when trying to play a recording.

On the bright side, I didn't see any of the PlayerFactory stop bugs

It was a debug core.dll so little more slow than normal core.dll (+ more log in it to see where it stop) from log i see stop after

VMR9: added EVR Renderer to graph

but why needed hard reset .
