I've installed mediaportal in the way you describde it burnett except for the TvServer which is located on another computer this is just a client. Is there another way that i can register this DVBSub2.ax file afterwards ???, cause Mediaportal runs just fine i just can't choose subtitles in My TV. I

've installed Media portal on 4 other computers and i've never had this problem before, the only thing that's different on the other machines is the hardware.

    1. install http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...ee-a3f9-4c13-9c99-220b62a191ee&displaylang=en
    2. open command promt
    3. go to MP install directory
    4. regsvr32 dvbsub2.ax

For some reason it doesn't work, i attached the version of C++ package. When i tried
install with regsvr32, i got a pop up message "translated below" you can see that i also
tried TsReader.ax and this works fine.

    Translated:
LoadLibrary("dvbsub2.ax") failed - This program could not start because the configuration of the program
is wrong. The problem might be fixed if you reinstall the program

    another one

    Hi,

I've had exactly the same problem after a fresh install of Mediaporal
Applying the VC+ 2005 SP1 solved the issue.

    Regards

I finally solved it, you guys have been right the whole time the problems is that
the links in this thread have directed me to the old Visual C++ 2005 Package not the new one
Visual C++ 2005 SP1. So by downloading the new one everything works just fine. Thanks for the
help, sometimes life can be funny. Maybe someone should close the thread?
