DVD navigation doesn't work (5 Viewers)

I have read about the DVD navigation problem. I have the same problem. I have tried different CODECS, and switched the DxVA option on and off on these CODECS. I was hoping there is someone out there who can help me with this? I really don't know what to do about it. Any help or input is appreciated.

Also, it would help if you provided your system specifications/configuration, so we can see what versions of software you are using on what hardware ....

Are you talking about the problem, that the navigation is not visible but in most cases works?

I guess it is just like other people are experiencing this. The DVD loads, I get the DVD MENU and then when I want to select LANGUAGES, SUBTITLES ... or just PLAY MOVIE, I can not select either one of this. I've read other people have the same problem. I just kinda' hoped someone got a sollution to this problem. Guess not, no problem.

In answer to dennus's original post and not stalker22's innappropriate thread hijacking one, i had a similar problem to which you report as i was using the nvidia purevideo codec for all video. Now i use it for everything except DVD's, for these i use the mpv codec and the standard dvd navigator, i still use purevideo for the sound funnily enough, and all problems disappeared.

Which decoder is you using? MPA /MPV does not highlight selctions in the menues.
If you have a possiblity, please try with Intervideo.

Some experience from my side:
I tried NVidia PureVideo, MPA/MPV and Dscaler codecs but all have problems with DVD menus. Mostly the selected items aren't shown. Sometimes the background music is not played.

Are you using Intervideo codecs? If so which version and do you have problems with DVD navigation?

I use a Logitech Harmony 525 remote together with girder which emulates the keyboard.
The navigation issues are the same for me regardless of the input type: with a remote keyboard it's the all the same.

But I suggest that it is a problem of the DVD navigator software component and the codec. Both have to support the different type of DVD menus. Must admit though that I have not tried the latest SVNs, I'm still with the stable patch 0.2.0.4.

I had the same problem with PureVideo codec.

With a fresh install and MPV everything worked for me.

MP: 0.2.2
latest SVN (yesterday)
codec for DVD: MPV & MPA

MPA /MPV does not highlight selctions in the menues.

It's working for me, but before with PureVideo it was not
