Still no joy with Revision 16748

I just tested Rev16764 with still no luck.

I spent some time going through the tswriter log and found the following differences in the way SBS/SBS HD is treated in the newer versions:

On the positive side - I've been testing the Revision 16748 and although as above the SBS channels are not working, the other channels and TVserver in general seems to be alot more stable. Was able to leave channels going overnight with no hang or channel freeze.

Really cannot wait until the SBS channel issue is fixed.... all else is looking very good.....

I have a suspicion this problem was created with revision 16625. I've been browsing the svn codebase via viewcvs (sorry I don't have a dev environment) and it appears that changes to Timshifting.cpp in this revision broke the formation of the stream (http://mediaportal.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/mediaportal?view=rev&revision=16625). If you click on text_changed for this file you'll see the added 'else if' for the ISO639 audio stream handling.

I just tried Rev16781 and still have the same problem. I guess I should summarize what we have so far?

-- No video on SBS channels (except SBS World News).

-- Video stream not being added to the timeshift file (guessing from the logs).

-- Audio stream is added and plays back sometimes but not all the time.

-- When viewing the affected channels in MyTV, you have to turn the TV off and on again to view another channel.

-- Rev 16582 was the last totally working version for me.

-- Not just Dvico cards affected. Twinhan and Nova cards have been reported also.

-- Only affecting channels SBS, SBS HD, and SBS 2. Strangely, SBS World News from the same transponder works fine.

-- Possible that the issue was caused by changes to the timeshifter in revision 16625.

Feel free to modify this list or add anything that I have missed...

One more thing jimbolina. I found that SBS recorded shows can be played back via VLCPlayer etc; so the problem is not in the Transmission; just the repackaging and timeshifting by TV Server. (i.e. playback).

This problem is also happening on my DigitalNow Dual Hybird PCIe card.
I removed my DVICO card as i kept getting the BSOD because of a dodgy ZuluVcap.sys file as experienced by others here, here and here.

So the problem doesn't seem to be card related either...

Still no joy with Rev16789.

I've added some new longer logs. I can see a lot of "Connection failed: 80040207" logs in mediaportal.log in reference to codecs.

I haven't changed anything with my codecs since I upgraded Power DVD about three months ago and all other channels work fine. It looks like it is failing to connect on all codecs but when I revert to Rev16582, all the codecs work fine on every channel.
