Well done! I like the effect alot on your skin mod mod. But, maybe go with a black top and bottom on the home page to accent the effect?

I ran it at FS 1024x768 and it still looked really good.

Very nice eLow!!! You inspired me to put more time in on this plugin last night. I've started looking at how we can clip the effect so that you can created 'windowed' effect areas, made a couple of other minor changes too, such as bloat can now be 1 - 255 so you can completely blank out the image and using smaller images. Not much progress on the clipping front yet though .

Had a few free hours earlier so took a look at the effects plugin once again. The latest version supports the extra bloat range as above, in addition to allowing you to use clipped regions - so no more having to create 720x576 images and getting jiggy with the overlying layers. The image can be larger than the region so you can scroll a 720 pixel wide image in a 200 pixel wide region etc.

I'd like to stress once again that this is in its very early stages and there are bound to be problems, if you experience any odd behaviour in MP while using the plugins please please eliminate the plugin as the culprit before starting a thread on the forum regarding the problem you are seeing.

The plugin now scales but there are issues that need dealing with... some calculations need adjusting to account for the scaling.

Ah, great progress! It clips and positions nicely. Also good to see it scales now. Would one of the issues be a flickering line of pixels during scrolling?

The mod mod was just a test/demo of what the plug-in can do. I probably won't develop it any furder. I decided I'm going to do a skin of my own with at least the option to use different (dynamic) background(s). So black'll be one of your options then.

BTW, Smirnoff, what's your opinion on the alpha blending of UI objects? Could/should that be something your plug-in handles?

The ability to fade a control or group of controls in or out is something I'd really like to see implemented. I think I can see a way that it could be implemented in a plugin as opposed to making core changes.

CPU usage only runs between 5-7%. This is only at the home page and have not tested it any further.

Well, what I would like to be able to do is use a FadeIn or -Out effect in the same way as the FlyIn effects. If those FlyIns are in the core the FadeIns should be too I think.
