Hi.

What is this a fix for?

It should add the SytemID number (We think this is the channel number of this channel) as an alternative channel name to the resulting tvguide.xml files... XMLTV spec are not mention channel numbers in any way so there is no "secure" way to implement the channel numbers at all.

In most parts of Europe, where EPG-Buddy, the XMLTV plugin and even the XMLTV specs are developed we don't have channel numbers at all. To be precise every channel has the number 10000. Here channels need to have an unique channel name... That's why it is sooo hard for us to implement something based on channel numbers. Over here this can not work as we then only have one channel (10000), no matter which provider we use for TV...

I hate how the Splash Screen HAS to stay On Top....

Sadly there is no other way of doing this excerpt for not having an indicator that something is happening at all. And as the start of EPG-Buddy takes it's time due to downloading the channel lists, I think an indicator is necessary...

I cannot get it to go past

This sometimes happen when the tvspielfilm server did not respond. So maybe it is working later...

Guys,
I have been doing more testing and have discovered some of the channels the EPG-Buddy is having problems with are Not Listed in either of the TV Guide accounts.....
The very first channel from his export is CBSHW
A search for this one (and a few others) find No Matches in either account.

FYI: the scheduler for EPG-Buddy is still not working.
It registers in Task Scheduler but does not complete

Hi.
According to the log the issue has nothing to do with the scheduler... The tool connects successfully to tvguide.com but tvguide.com did not deliver any data. Maybe the time you've set for EPG- grabbing is not the best one. Can you try a different time (some hours later or earlier) for grabbing? Hopefully tvguide.com then can deliver data...
And probably @lightshock may have a look at this too...

Sorry I have not been around for a while....

Something seems to have changed with the TV Guide import.
I am using the XML importer with EPG-Buddy. EPG-Buddy does an update at 3am every day.
It use to be that the TV section would Auto-Update the TV Guide info when the XML import was done.
Over the last few (and including this newest version), this is not working and I have to go into Setup TV and do a manual import.
Anyone else seeing this or know why this is not functioning?

Hi Breese,

Thank you for mentioning this; I thought it was related to something I had done to my setup since no one else seemed to comment. I noticed this after Lehmden's last update.

As far as I can tell by my logs, the "grabber" seems to work fine but the "buddy" side fails to update. With my layman's eye (and that's being very kind) I don't see any errors in the logs; the "grabber" file sports the current date (as programmed) while the "buddy" file shows the last successful manual pull date but neither of those seem to generate error logs that narrow the focus. The updated files in the EPG Buddy folder appear to be correct based on the same files generated from the last manual pull.

I was so thankful for an accurate epg program that works, that manually updating it every week or so was no problem. But if it can be "set and forget" again, my life will be complete .

I will pay more attention now. If there is anything I can do to help, please ask.

Hi.

I'm busy in "real live" atm so I'm not at the very latest MP2 test build. The version I'm using recently is 2.1.1706.10261
And here the automated import of new XML files generated by EPG-Buddy is working fine as ever. I will try to update MP2 to the most recent test version to see if the same is happening here.

Gentlemen,

Sorry, not a lot of time this morning, but to Breese' question - No, the EPG Buddy "side" does not update unless I run a manual pull; the EPG Grabber does. The log files bear this out. I just checked and the grabber has a log file from this morning while the buddy has the same log file as the day I last did a manual download (three days ago). I only mention this as I believe I read something from one (or both) of you that the two sides work in concert. I will try to get you some screen shots tonight.
