Well, I guess doing a 1080 skin is more time consuming, as there are not so many XML's to re-use/copy.

Vid looks great. I have tested this skin on my laptop, but I haven't gotten to test @ my 42" yet.

Well, we could take the easy way out and just copy from those few 1080p skins available, but where is the fun in that.

Thanks, I've made quite a bit of progress throughout the skin these last few days and more progress can be expected during this week and next since I've taken vacation and got nothing planned for it.

Let us know what you think when you have had a chance to test it on your tv.

This doesn't mean though that the files used to created these screens (the movie files) are indeed those films. Using just one short .avi file and name it with upcoming titles is a great way of keeping the screen shots fresh as the scrapers will get the theatrical length and not that of the file. IIRC, the original author of the Aeon skin used to do this with films that weren't even out in the cinemas.

Looking better and better for each update. I still wish you would use bigger margins between the outer boxes and the text inside. It will look much better for sure.

Just a small heads up. The skin is not dead, there have been lots of progress the last few days. Rockstar and OnlineVideos are now fully supported, as is TVSeries Actors/CoverFlow and Playlists. MyPictures, MyMusic, MyTV, MyVideos and MyRadio is also feature complete, although a little rough on their edges in certain features.

I'm currently going trough and fixing bugs left and right in the skin and making sure it's MePo 1.2b ready. Screenshots and a video will come tomorrow of all that is complete, next big thing is to find and make the skin working with one of the available BasicHome editors out there, if you have created one that is opensource and that I could use, feel free to drop me a line.

I'm looking for someone that would like to test the skin and provide feedback, if anyone is intrested in contributing that would be awesome aswell. The latest version is available in SVN (See first post) if you want to try it out, if you do, please let me know what you think.

Don't give up on me or the skin, I'm just 1+ year in to it's development...

You need to add some texture to the blue background - it looks too boring when there is little content (the Rockstar (12 of 13) image shows this perfectly)
Also - I think you need to reduce the alpha for the DVD case images - it looks kinda wrong!

SpudR - The blue background is one alternative if you do not want to use the rotating wallpaper feature of the skin. I mostly have that of during development as It's easier to place things.

Do you mean you want the covers to be more transparent then now?

Edit: 5 New things have been added to the todo list, 5 where solved yesterday so the total is still 15 items left before release, by the current rate: release of v0.3 should be next weekend.
