Essence is in development and these releases are just that, development releases that are aimed for us to get feedback on the things that are complete and gain feedback on what we should improve and change from the community.

We have never said that this is a full release and thus there are many things that are not working, we have never stated otherwise and by the information available in our posts that should be clear.

I'm sorry you thought that this was a full release, but it's not and Essence will see more of these development releases as we need the feedback and the help to track down bugs and weird issues so that the real release is as good as possible.

It's more aimed for those that want to try it and see what we are up to and those that want to give us feedback. It was never meant for an production environment.

The things that DO work are as follows.

myHome screen, weather, MyTV (Atleast watching/browsing TV), TVSeries, MovingPictures and MyMusic (Mostly working, weird bugs with playingnow screen) so if you want to try those things out, feel free to do so and give us feedback.

I'm sorry you where mislead, it was never our intention.

Well, to be honest - never saw a "skin" which is that unreadable (at least what I can see from the screenshots). Sorry.

I'm using it on my 42" TV and I do not find it hard to read, some text are blue instead of white, but that is going to be fixed in the next version and those are a little harder to read.

What more exactly do you think look hard to read out in the screenshots?

We would like to expand with one or two people that are developing/designing for the skin and a handfull of people that are intrested in testing the skin and provide feedback to us. So read the information below and drop me an PM if you are interested!

Testers!
We are currently looking for a few people that are interested in being testers for our skin as we will be holding off on public releases until the skin is in a more finished state.

Basically we would want a few people that can test the skin in an production environment and provide feedback, bug reports and so on.

It would be a great plus if you are able to download and test directly from the SVN repository but it's not needed.

Contributor/Developer!
If you are familiar with working with XML files or if you are good with Photoshop, can do mock-up designs and are interested in actively helping us out in developing this skin please send me an PM.

Thanks for the input, it got much easier to read after doing so aswell. I'm glad we tried it out, i think it adds much to the design of the skin.

I like where this is going.

Have you considered moving the menu list to the left side. The only reason i suggest this is i am so used to streamed mp and it just seems more visually appealing on that side.

Another suggestion. You could try and possibly align the elements of the skin between different screens. Such as the text in the same place on each. I think it would flow better this way.
