Yes. I've got the DTV going as well on client (not server). Sadly updating to official RC w/singelseat gave more some headache .... Well - gotto go to bed. More later....
Got it working. I had to use an indoor antenna, as I seem to have screwed up antenna or cables in the process, so signal isn't good (=channels isn't watchable), but everything seems to work as it should.
Couple of things:
- I Have problems installing 3.4B driver, i had to go back to 3.3 driver (and that wasn't easy either)
- The quality on SD channels is bad, but thats normal i guess.
- TV2 has bad reception from Tryvann for some reason. Noone else.
Hi.
Found that reception was OK, but forgot to use different codecs. I still can't get TV2 HD to work, but I guess using updated CyberLink should do the trick (tried with the CyberLink shipped w/TwinHam, but it didn't work).
What codecs are you using?
Now to answer your Q's:
- My experience exactly! NOT going to fiddle with drivers any time soon! This was the root to my problems above. Luckily I got a spare TV-card, so might try (much) later.
- Quality is OK, IMO. Probably depends on codec - and channel (In my experience, TVNorge often has bad broadcasting)
- Sorry. Having probs with TV2HD myself, but different location (Rogaland). Also I'm, as said above, guessing codecs are to blame.
Next: Let's find the best codecs for SD and HD. (As I don't dare trying more drivers).
Yes, have been using MS+Monogram AAC since National Geographic updated their audio some time ago, switched back to FireDTV now, and it works great there. And with MP 1.2 I'm not having any mini-lag either.
