Re: AW: Re: Extension Installer V2
I didn't answer earlier because dukus knows about this stuff not me but I can say is that I use the MPE installer on RC2 and the "zipped" version on MP 1.0.2 and both work fine. What do you mean by "When I copy the files of the mpe installer zip to another directory I get again the error message"? Are you trying to install the latest version of the MPE installer from this thread? If that's what you mean then (as far as I know) it has to be installed into the MP directory otherwise it won't work so that could be your problem?
I've got a question for those of you that have made MPE1 files - How is the "Generate update xml" feature used? What do I have to do for the MPE1 installer to know "where to look" when it updates known extensions? I see that a lot of you are using Googlecode to host the XML file. If someone could give me some pointers on this that would be great - then I'll go and add them to the "tutorial" so that all the info is in one place.
Cheers

@ juro, andmen, tom78, samundsen Any chance of posting some log files? I'm guessing that that would help dukus work out what is going on here....

Did some test on my test ssystem where MP 1.1 RC2 is already installed. When I execute mpeinstaller in MP directory all is fine. When I copy the files of the mpe installer zip to another directory I get again the error message. So I suppose that there are definately somme missing files in the package but which ones?
These are in the package:
Interop.IWshRuntimeLibrary.dll
Ionic.Zip.dll
MpeCore.dll
MpeCore.pdb
MpeInstaller.exe
MpeInstaller.pdb
MpeMaker.exe
MpeMaker.pdb
The *.pdb files I don't find in the MP program directory.
