Hi,

I can't run this plugin... After the installation, I go to the configuration and getting this error:

Just downloaded the latest version of this plugin.
I'm using MP 1.0.1.0 with X-Factor r479 skin.

What can I do?

If I were you I'd upgrade the X-Factor skin. r479 is pretty old (current is r581).

I also believe in that but it has to be used appropriatly and not in conjunction with something like a (especially newer) skin where new features are added constantly, imho.

But you broke your own rule when you installed a much newer version of the plugin to an old version of the skin

As has been said above both plugin and skin have been under heavy development so I would think it likely that it is the cause of your error, yes.

Hi,

Fanart Handler v1.7 is now released. No new features. The new version fixes the suspending/hibernating bug (I hope) and contains some more optimization of how images are loaded to speed up your skin even more. AHope you like it.

In next version I will try to include handling of fanart for songs with more than one artist.

I'm sorry to tell you this cul8er, but still the ~1 second delay... When I return to BasicHome there is a black background for about a second.
With 1.5 this isn't the case, with 1.6 it is.

Hi Zinu,

Thanks for your report but this is how it is supposed to work. If I load all images before displaying a window we are back to 1.5 and you will have a MP that is slow in opening windows. The solution I have implemented is that images are loaded while the window opens and displayed as soon as each image is finished loading. Then it is up to all skinners to decide if they want a black background while loading or as in x-factor skin a loading image that fades.

I wasn't sure where to ask so I thought I'd post here.

Is there a way to delete all the old fan art that's no longer needed? For example: You watch a show and then delete it. But dozens of fanart for that series remains in the fan art folders. Is there a way to delete them without manually going in and deleting each one? My fan art folder is starting to get quite bloated.

There is no known easy way to me but all the data is available to get that done.
I'm not that into windows programming but I could bake something with a php script that can do it in a couple minutes.
Maybe Cul8er can comeup with something better.
