I'm not sure I understand the question. Is it that TVSeries plugin downloads fanart and once you delete the show the fanart are kept on disk? If this is the case you should ask the plugin developers of TVSeries to delete fanart together with the series. If it is related to other fanart and I misunderstood the question, please let me know and describe the problem with some more details.

The only fanart this plugin downloads is for music. But I have no way of knowing if the artist that fanart was downloaded for are still "valid" because fanart can be downloaded for things like radio. So there is no way of knowing if I should keep that fanart or not.

Installed the latest X-Factor 581 + Fanart Handler 1.7
Still the same problem: When clicking "config" on the Fanart Handler plugin, I'm getting the below error message and the entire MediaPortal Configuration window crash and close.

I can't run this plugin... After the installation, I go to the configuration and getting this error:

I'm using MP 1.0.1.0 with X-Factor r479 skin.

What can I do?

Exactly. My fan art folder is approaching 5gb. Relocating the fan art folders to another drive would be perfect also.

Yes, I have TVSeries.


Edit: I actually see now on MediaPortal that the fanart is displayed (I even see a "scraper loading bar" sometimes), but I still can't access the configuration window...

I'm using StreamedMP 1.0.2 with Fanart Handler 1.7.3740.

I wanted to update my music fanart and remove some i don't like so i backupped the fanart i like, entered the plugin and deleted all Fanart. After that i'm trying to start the scraper again by pressing the 'Start Scraper' button, but nothing happens
Clicking 'Reset Scraper' and then starting MediaPortal again to initiate doesn't start the scraping also, so now i'm not getting any new scrapes in.

Am i doing something wrong or is it a bug?

Sounds like a bug to me but just wanted to respond since I think you could have done it differently avoiding the problem.
Fanart handler has a button in managing music fanart to delete all non existent fanart images from the db.
So what I usually do is just delete the image from within windows explorer, fire up mp config and click that button
What you could do for now to get your scraping working is deleting fanarthandler.db3 (leave the .org) and start scraping again from mp config.

I also have a little question concerning streamedMP.
The changes since 1.5 are good performance wise but leaves me (for now) with a black screen upon load in latest streamedmp. I know this is because of the background loading but the black screen is just a bit weird. So I wanted to add a default image there, like xfactor does, inidcating it's loading or something. I can get that to go but the issue with streamedmp is that this default image will show also when the first imagecontrol is loaded (and the second is not yet) and you cycle through the menu. Then when transitioning between the items the default image will show through.
This is more of a skin bug. I tried all sorts of visibility conditions on it, including some really complex once but I could not get this right.
What would help is a control indicating it is loading (visible when no image loaded, invisible when one of two is loaded would suffice for me and this problem). If cul8er has a better idea, or if a streamedMP member comes along with a solution please tell me/us.

Tnx for the reply joz, but i think i found my problem (and i'm not sure if it's a bug or just stupid me....)

I just upgraded the StreamedMP install, including this plugin. By default the top 2 checkboxes on the tab 'Scraper Settings' are DISabled!
After checking both boxes, the 'Start Scraper' button in the 'Manage fanart' tab works, and scraping is being done.

Just not sure if it's supposed to work this way or that the scraper should also work without those 2 boxes checked.

I think 'Start Scraper' should work even if the automatic scrape checkboxes are not checked. Your doing a manual scrape effectively.

That's what i thought, but it doesn't so it seems like a bug.

The 'Start Scraper' button only works when you enabled the checkbox 'Enable Automatic Download of Music Fanart for Artists in your MP MusicDatabase' (which is disabled by default).

I also deleted the FanartHandler.db3 file (kept the .org) and when entering the plugin it says there are no Artist at all in any database. Clicking the 'Start Scraper' button seems to enable the scraping, but after it's done, still 0 Artist in any dB and no fanart downloaded while i've got about 6GB of MP3's stored....

I also have a little question concerning streamedMP.

Well.... Would work WAY better if the htbackdrops.com website would be working i assume... It's down so that's why i'm not getting any fanart downloaded... The message on the website looks from the hoster, i hope it'll be back up soon!
