Sounds feasible, BUT it breaks the update procedure in the MPEI - 1.10 < 1.9...

Hi SpudR,

Thank you for your feedback. About the PNG files this is currently not possible. Fanart Handler uses the Thumbs directory (just like Moving Picture and TVSeries) and MP put all PNG files into it's cache. Moving Picture moved from jpg to png for a short period and that caused MP to cache all those images. I think this has changed a bit so now big images are not cached anymore but small would. So to be on the safe side I only allow jpg images.

About the version numbers and how the new installer handles it: I have submitted this to the developer of the installer and waits for feedback. Perhaps I will have to change how I number the releases...

Hi together,

from time to time fanarts are not working. I suppose this always happens after wakeup from standby. I have to restart MP then it works again. I did not take a look in logs so far. Anyway I have some problems wirh MP after standby. This is after I crypted my sytem partition with true crypt. MP is very slow and hanhs from time to time or it takes about 5 or 8 seconds if new menu entry is selected?!

Has the fanart problem somesting to do with my other problem?

I really appreciate all your feedback and help now and in the past. Without your support I would never been able to release this plugin and keep trying to improve it. But please remember to post log files when submitting an issue. From now on I will not answer to any issue reports that do not contain log files as it is impossible for me to guess what the problem is.

To post a issue please include;
* What MP version are you using:
* What Skin are you using:
* What Windows version are you using:
* include error.log, mediaportal.log, fanarthandler.log and fanarthandler_config.log

Please help me with this so that we can together make this plugin as good as possible.

Hi cul8ter,
i think some of the "delay" is caused by checking the movingpictures database - even if the movingpicturesplugin is disabled, the db will be opened, right?
I would suggest to also disable the check of the MovPic-DB, if fanart for video in fanarthandler is disabled?

Hey, newest version of this amazing plugin causes MP hang right after the start. I reverted back to 1.8, everything's fine.
I use latest RC on win7x86 with StreamedMP skin (plugin is configured only for music/nowplaying screen).
