Hi ysmp,

Thanks for the information. This sounds very very strange. You deleted all the plugin files and only kept the database file and the error still occured. What is then using the fanarthandel.db3 file? Another plugin? What am I missing here? If the plugin is removed nothing should access the database file and cause errors in MP.

Test version produces the same errors. I just gathered some music files to build a database quickly and I deleted everything about this plugin first (.dll from process folder, .db and .org from database, .xml from config and skin fanart from thumbs). Installed the plugin 1.10, scrapper from configuration.exe eats up all cpu time from the very beginning. Initial scrapper process took 6 minutes for 691 files/47 artists. Update scrapper process took just a few seconds but at high cpu time also. Then I installed 1.8, initial process took less than 3 minutes without noticeable cpu time.

I also tested ysmp's issue about the deleted dll. When I delete fanarthandler.dll, there's no problem.
(I just had a weird issue recently about an other plugin, it turned out I have its dll besides the plugin folder - in MP's main folder, actually. It is worth a check.)

Thank thank you for the logfiles. Does the same thing (high CPU) happen when you start MP or is it only when running in MP configuration?

Your problem when running scraping in MP configuration is fixed in the version (I hope) I have in development. Thanks to your log files I found the issue. If you want to test it I have included the file. Extract it and replace the existing /plugins/process/fanarthandler.dll file.

Thanks for testing. What do you mean by still?
* do you have increasing memory usage or is this stable?
* how long do the scrape take now (6 or 3 minutes)?
* is MP running smother while scraping with this version.

I mean it's still sad. Have you disabled emoticons in your browser?

MP 1.0.5.25080

memory: increasing +300MB for a few secs and then it reverts back to normal
scrapping time: 6 mins
MP doesn't run any smoother

There are changes in logs.


EDIT: Argh, there's so much to keep in mind about MP. I forgot to update my ws to the latest RC. Well, I did it now, but everythings above stand still.
MP now is 1.0.6.25546, I have changed the logs.

hi cul8er !
got home ... so i dicid to do uninstal of mp ,reinstal MP RC2 as defult only plugin i add moving pictures,tv series,my trailer..and thats it .
then instal only xfactor skin wich is instal fanarthandler and info service plugin ..

Wall good news ,no crash on start any more ,and no error log ...

i have to find wich plugin mack the problem or it's a skin ...i will add 1 by 1 and check wich one cose the crash ..

will report layter..

Hi vrm,

I think you have about the same scraping time in both 1.8 and this one. The reason for you having 3 minutes in 1.8 is that you did not reset the database and if you look into your log file you will see that not a single image was downloaded. Compare it to you latest log and you will see alot of entries like "Downloading fanart for baccara (C:\Pro...".

So to make a comparable test you need to install version 1.8. Open MP Configuration and press the button "delete all fanart" and then the button "reset scraper" and finally press the button "start scraper".
