Hmm - problem not confirmed for me...
using 1.10 with the x-Factor skin, all ok

Hi,

I cannot reproduce your issues and I have not received any log files but I have still tried to look at different parts of the code to try to find something that could cause the problems you describe. I have done some adjustments and attach a version here that you can unpack and then replace the existing /plugins/process/fanarthandler.dll file with.

Please let me know if it works better.

THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL VERSION but a test release for those people that have reported slowdowns using the new v1.10. If we can get confirmation that this works I will make a new public/official version in a day or so.

Hey, newest version of this amazing plugin causes MP hang right after the start. I reverted back to 1.8, everything's fine.
I use latest RC on win7x86 with StreamedMP skin (plugin is configured only for music/nowplaying screen).

i got same thing, with all skins i use , MP RC2,WIN XP & VISTA , fanarthandler 1.1 any skin i use ...

my configured of the plugin only for musicplaying now /only use the music folder fanart thet was scrapt from htbackdrops.com
no artist tumb use.

See that some one else has mentioned, the auto update process is broken due to the naming of this latest release... Got an on to in community here.

Also, question, using Black Glass NOVA... Is there a fan-art option for the tv section, as in to use the data from "My TV Series" and "Moving Pictures" while you are scrolling through the EPG guide or Recorded TV. That would be very cool...

Thanks for the log files. Can you please also include the fanarthandler.xml file containing the fanart handler settings. Do you get the same error using the new version attached a few posts above?

* does this happen every time you start MP or only on resume from standby?
* if you go back to version 1.9 or 1.8 do they work now?

HI cul8er ! it's happen when i start mp usly the first time ,then on secend try mp open .. but evry time for first time

i will try to go back to v1.8 or v1.9 again ..little bit later ...(im in work now ...and i test it in in work computer also )

let you know ...but as far as i remember it's was working fine with v1.8 and v1.9 ,i just update to v1.1 with xfactor r630 last week
i think ....wheen all this start ...

first it is fanart handler for sure , i delet all file's conect to fanarthndler and mp work fine open as reguler ...

secend i thinkthe bug in the Fanarthandler db , waill i was deleting all the file i forget to delet the db files ,and the crash still happen..
as soon as i delet the db file also ,then all work fine i try with 4 skin B3W,XFACTOR,MAYA,BLACK GLASS NOVA. ans as i say
all open regular ... no error log any more...

i hope this help you ...maby tack a secend look at the fanaerhandler DB .

i will try soon to instal v1.8 and see if all o.k now ..
