Will MP ever support filesystem-plugins? The same style as XBMC?

This would ease the development of source-plugins like youtube, metacafe, nrk etc.

Stop nagging, you'll get paid in heaven ;)

No. I mean a system where we don't have to write all the display-code in the plugin, the plugin just appears as a videosource. But I havent played with MP in a while so I'm not sure how video browsing and such works.

In XBMC you can create say a YouTube plugin. You don't have to write any gui-code, only a file-system "simulator". Sort of like FUSE in Linux for those of you that know it.

don't know if it is what you want but I'm currently writing a plugin (almost finished) for handling web streams. it is designed so it includes external xml files. So that plugin-dev. only has to make the appropriate parser (and dump the xml in a given folder) and not have to worry about how it is displayed.

xml format is roughly given in (added seasons tags and other meta info as genre and language)
https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/general-talk-235/streaming-video-interface-37629/?nojs=1#links

it is at he moment however aimed at tv-shows but it could be fairly easily extended to a more generic xml structure

If you’re planning to submit a pull request, let’s go through the list of issues and their solutions. I or someone from the team will create a Jira ticket, and for each ticket, you’ll make the changes and submit a pull request. This will be transparent and straightforward.

Preferable with as much disabled as possible also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything) maybe other programs competing for resouces?
