I am trying new MP 1.1.0 Alpha IPTV functionality and seems I cannot get it to even recognise the m3u file provided in the plagin zip file.
To start with I didn't have TuningParameters folder in the MediaPortal TVServer directory and I have created it with IPTV subfolder. Still don't see the file in the dropdown list.
Can anyone help with step by step instructions?

try elecard://233.139.53.128:5501:i=your_ip_address:t=m2t/udp

If it will not work, try to disable your firewall

I am not having much luck with the plugin and I hope someone can help me to understand where is the problem.
No matter what I do, scanning will give me No Signal for every channel. I tried the channel suggested by Mikeyko earlier elecard://233.139.53.128:5501:i=192.168.1.110:t=m2t/udp and still got No Signal problem. I have turned off windows firewall and even disabled my bluetooth adapter to no avail.
Just in case - I am using MP 1.1.0 Alpha.

Ok..
I have tested even a svn version, but IP plugin doesnt seems to work for me
I even made a rtsp stream
so my m3u looks like this

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:0,HRT1
http://10.168.58.5:8081

#EXTINF:0,HRT2
http://10.168.58.5:8082

#EXTINF:0,RTL
http://10.168.58.5:8083

#EXTINF:0,NOVA
http://10.168.58.5:8084

#EXTINF:0,OTV
rtsp://10.168.36.194:8079/test.sdp

on all channels I got no signal

all channels are transcoded with h.264
#transcode{vcodec=h264,vb=600,scale=0.5,acodec=mp4a,ab=64,channels=2,samplerate=44100}:std{access=http,mux=ts,dst=x.x.x.:8081}
and when played with vlc all works fine...

You are not trying iptv but web streams. This is the reason it is not working for you. IPTV is broadcasted in private networks and you have to pay for subscription. It is like cable TV.

Currently, raw UDP unicast/multicast transport is supported out of the box. You can still use elecard filter for RTP support. So no http, mms, rtsp protocols are supported, sorry

Are you using elecard filter, or built in? URL format is different between the two. Please, look at m3u file provided in 1.1.0 alpha. The format is like udp://[local_ip]@multicast_addr:port

And please do not use any zip file provided in this thread if you are using 1.1.0 alpha. Everything is included in the installer

If you will still have problems, post your tv logs, please

I am using built-in one. I have tried both cards with the same result.
