Hi,

Now the Firedtv remote is broken again with latest SVN under x64 version of Windows 7.
Why did you disable it under x64? It was working just fine to me until now.
Could you undo whatever you did to it? I just had to use 32-bit drivers for it.

How do you install 32bit drivers on 64bit w7?

    microsoft.com FAQ said:
all hardware devices need 64-bit drivers to work on a 64-bit version of Windows. Drivers designed for 32-bit versions of Windows don't work on computers running 64-bit versions of Windows.

Sorry, I forgot to mention. Not the whole driver package, only 32-bit version of firesatapi.dll
and yes, I know it shouldn't work in x64 windows, but it does. Like I said, it worked just fine until I upgraded to latest SVN.

Reason to dissable the firedtv remote was that during our tests, it was not possible to get it to work.
Not even when we copied in the 32bit firesatapi.dll into the MP folder. This is why we are a bit confused now that this seems to work for some users....

We will retest this and then decide what to do. If it works then we might distribute that dll with 1.1.0.

    Hi again,

Well, if you are testing it on Vista x64, then firesatapi.dll from the latest 32-bit beta drivers won't work. At least it didn't work for me. I used 32-bit firesatapi.dll from earlier driver release, but after I installed Windows 7 (64-bit) then that older firesatapi.dll stopped working. Then I tried firesatapi.dll from latest 32-bit drivers (5.6 beta) in Win 7 and surprise surprise it worked again!!
I know it sounds confusing and it shouldn't work but it sure did for me. It doesn't seem to be so big problem, but why would you disable it for all, if it at least works for some people? Let me know if I can do something more.

Yes, that really is weird, but it did the trick for me. But like I said, at least in Win 7 remote was working fine with the latest 32-bit firesatapi.dll until the latest SVN.

Still not working on the latest SVN. Is there any news considering this? are you going undo those disabling modifications you did for x64 based systems? I just don't want to buy new remote, because it was working fine in Windows 7.

I hope you can resolve this, because it would be a real showstopper for me too :(
