Hi Hoborg,

here are the files with trimmed video...

none of them plays in MP, but:

Flash1.FLV plays normally in Media Player Classic home cinema 1.3.1249.0
Flash2.FLV plays only a short audio signal (beep) in Media Player Classic home cinema 1.3.1249.0

Both of them play fine in VLC Player
Both of them play fine in RichFLV

Yes, SAF is unlocked, I even checked to be sure.

MP keeps on showing:

Could the reason be that I don't have the Adobe Flash Player installed? Even if flv should be decoded by ffdshow?

No, no need to instal flash and yes, FFDshow can handle h.263.

Please, this time run MePo in debug mode, try to play your smaples then exit MePo and create LOGs. Post tthem here + SAF LOGs, i will take a look.

Oh, you are on SAF 4? Try SAF 5, if it will be still not working, send me SAF5 logs.

Hi Hoborg,

SAF 5.00 (file saf500svn100730b.exe) was not a good idea

Now I get no error messages anymore when I start the flv from MePo, but the tv screen remains black. Additionally, SAF 5.00 is now causing another problem: no playback of DIVX and XVID video anymore...also for these files I now get a black tv screen. For Xvid & Divx does not even help if I change the settings of the ffdshow config from libavcodec to xvid (it helped with SAF 4.00).

First look:
VMR9 ver.: 6.5.2600.5822 status Failed! - run windows update...

EDIT:

If you check "graph_MediaPortal PID (B88) IFilterGraph = 8248F68.jpg" in MePo LOGs, you will see that graphs are created correctly, so SAF working as it should now - your files are played - both FLV and AVI, but GPU produce only black.

This really seems to be GPU driver problem, try to update - GPU driver you are using is one year old! (GPU driver version: unknown date: 7-30-2009)

Last think you can try is disable YV12 colorspace in FFDshow.

BTW, try to play any MPEG-2 file, like DVD or VOB file from DVD - does it work?
