Foofaraw Skin (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I currently use the latest Foofaraw, and I really love it.
Nevertheless I have to smaller issues:
- When starting TV for the first time, there is no channel- and epg info anvalable on the "portal"-View.
- Same view: In the timeline on the bottom of this screen, there is a "-" in the middle of the bar.
3 Suggestions/Questions:
- The transparent EPG in TV is not yet(?) looking like the normal one. Its smaller, and just not so nice, could you adapt this?
- I also tryed Xface-Skin and the two things I really liked more there was the size and look of the miniEPG, and the TV OSD. Maybe some of you skilled Designers, may want to think about doing something in that direction?
- The only thing a really don't like in Foofaraw is the progress-bar (circle)when changing channels....I would love to see something more stylish, that really fits to the style of this SUPERB Skin....
please don't get me wrong. I love your work-> keep going!!

Hi Joystick,
I have been off task recently with responabilities at work and home taking my time, I will add your requests/ideas to the 2nd post in this thread (helps me to keep track of everything). I agree with the progress graphics, and I will take another look at xface for the osd and mini epg, this might take a little longer though as I do not have a tv card on my development machine.

Fantastic skin so far
Can make a few suggestions ?
In album view, make the highlight more prominent / add a coloured tinge / make border around the highlighted album... something, its quite indistinguishable.
In the music when an album is highlighted, can it display album title AND artist ?
The "video" box at the bottom left when an album is playing, doesnt display my album art properly, its mostly black, with a slight hint that the album art is there, but off "screen", despite it showing properly for the album itself.
Glad to hear of the black bar changeover as that was going to be antoher question, can i ask what is the code to remove the central black strip? With a dark image (such as the Vent), the bar moved to the top (layout, switch view etc) and no black strip across, it will look much neater IMO

I've almost finished work for the next release, although I have been delayed some what with my wife being taken in to hospital for a few days... anyway I will look at the border in icon view, although depending on timings it might not be in the next release.. After much debate I have now almost completely removed the mid-strip... ( there is code on everypage effected by the mid stip to remove it. I will have a look at the videobox in the bottom corner... I've not noticed this my self, but you could be right...

How many people are working on this skin?
If it's only you Rich then I'm thoroughly impressed by the work you put into it and would like to offer any help needed. I know basic coding and am experienced with photoshop.

Hi OleJ,
At the start of the foofaraw project my friends Chris and Nath were involved in the creation of some of the basic home icons and some of the layout. But as foofaraw has matured they have both lost interest. So now foofaraw is developed just by me (and of course members of the mp community who submit their work to the forum). I would appreciate all the help I can get to move foofaraw on.... I'm hoping that the next release will be better received than version 7..... Seems like the mid strip was a bit controversial. Attached is a peek at the new list view.
My wife Heather is now back home and feeling much better (although she says she isn't well enough to do any house work yet

Hmm.. I liked the mid strip. It seems empty without it.
That looks quite promising, Rich! I too grew kinda fond of the mid strip after the adjustments that were made, but I'm just happy that the CD cover has made its way into list view – my only gripe with Foofaraw as it is today.
