Yeah, I wish I had taken the picture myself but I just found it on the internet and I don't really remember where. But I hope I'll find the photographer again because he/she had taken a lot of great shots.

Good to hear the text overlap already has been fixed, then I won't have to spend my time fixing it... :p

I'm actually starting to like your icon layout after all, the borders give even spacing regardless of image size and that of course makes it look a lot better. It's also a lot easier to see which icon is selected than before.

Keep up the great work!

    Little error

    Hello!

    First - Great skin!!!
    My favourite.

I have only one little error in log file:

2007-11-01 21:08:16.718750 [ERROR][MPMain]: GUIWindow:OnWindowLoaded id:13 ex:Object of type 'MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIFadeLabel' cannot be converted to type 'MediaPortal.GUI.Library.GUIButtonControl'. at System.RuntimeType.CheckValue(Object value, Binder binder, CultureInfo culture, BindingFlags invokeAttr)

2007-11-01 21:08:17.953125 [ERROR][MPMain]: Control has invalid animation type

Nothing critical, but should be corrected never the less ;)

    Nice background Joel_skold,
I've already fixed the text overlapping problem for the next release. the text rolls very unsmoothly becaue it is center justified. I fould by left justifying it it now rolls smoothly. (Another one of thoose strange mp bugs). I think for the moment I will leave the icon view as I has recently modified it so that I can push on and release the next version, after this release maybe I f people want I will have another play with the icon view.

I Think that people running foofaraw at 1024x768 might be experience problems with the time and date overlapping, this is because foofaraw is designed for 1366x768, so MP stretches the skin to fit, of course graphics stretch but text doesn't so hence the overlap.

    Regards

    Rich

I run at 1280x720p though -would that still be why my text overlaps!

Fantastic skin - thanks! The only gripe with my limited use of MP and this skin that I see is that the font, and it is a great font, that scrolls along the bottom seems a bit large, especially for longer Classical genre titles.

It seems you may have fixed the scrolling also in the 'Now Playing' section. Have you also looked at the fact that the current album title above the art doesn't scroll too? Often, the current track does not appear below the progress bar of the Now Playing screen as well. Lastly, and on that same screen, the date and time run up against each other, as they seem to be at slightly different heights.

Looking forward to the next release!

    Stacked Files

Hi guys, I upgraded to MP 0.2.3.0 RC3 the other day and notice now that with stacked files in Videos that the disc chooser dialog is no longer displayed and in effect MP hangs. Is a fix due for this cos I love the skin but cant use it at the moment! :(

Been using this skin now on my new htpc, which works even better than my old one,
well I found several (minor) errors in my tv and don't really know where to start to look to solve these:

    Guide:
    * Channel logos should be moved 1px down and 1 to the right

    My TV:
    * I think the channel name should be moved up to be in line with the logo
    * The logo should be either smaller, or the programm description should be moved downwards (latter is better I think)
    * Next programm should be moved downwards

Which 2 xmls are related to these problems so I could try to solve it myself?

    Hi rsparey

Great work as always, just updated to 0.2.3.0 final, now strange thing, installer runs\completes but no Foofaraw skin installed, this is running Vista ultimate 32bit.

Could this be the MPI rejecting the installation due to incompatibility i wonder, will carry on seeing if i can find the answer.

    Thanks

The installer looks for mediaportal.exe and also the version and file size. It is possible that the exe file has change somewhat... and my installer doesn't identify it correctly.... I am pretty close to a new release.. so this problem will go away. Also I am planning to use the mediaportal installer program rather than my own installer...
