Hmm... what about selecting channel to view by using the mouse inside MP? That doesn't seem to work right now. The "buttons" become unavailable when moving the cursor.

This is fixed in 1.3.1.

Perhaps I should post the full list of changes/fixes/enhancements after all ;)

Looking at how my TV cards are prioritised it is still strange that I sometimes get analog channels instead of digital when just watching.

Anyway, I noticed another strange thing... After recording a show I get a folder (this is inside MP) with several parts in it. It seems like my 1 hour show was chopped up in pieces. Is this a known problem , or have I accidentally enabled some kind of com-skipper? In that case it didn't do a good job, because the wrong parts were missing. Hmm...

    Hi,

    Is there a way to make recordings with 4TR that supports My TVSeries like when recording with only MP and TVServer. What I mean is to create a folder structure like;
    * %title%\season %series%\episode number %episode%\%title%

    example: Stargate Atlantis\season 2\episode number 1\Stargate Atlantis.ts

    Or are there any other ways to create recordings that My TVSeries can display?

    Also, does 4TR make a difference between "Series" and "Movies"?

    Best Regards

    Right now there is no default way of renaming your recordings. The Recorded file will always be called "<Title> (<Subtitle>) <TvChannel> <date>.ts" and be placed in the folder "Recordings\<Title>".
    You can however run some postprocessing on the file which I think could potentially do what you are asking. RIght now I am working on some postprocessing that will rename my movies to something that Moving Pictures can pick up (with a lot of help from another FTR user, thanks Sunsetdk :D).

    Hopefully, we will at some point get easy to use renaming features, that can do what you ask, without messing with external programs and batch scripts. Just like the way Regular MP does it.
    However, even with this shortcoming, I am still loving FTR. It has so many great features that I really think MP needs.

    Regarding the recording being chopped up in pieces, it has only happened once so far. If it happens again I will post log files that we can analyse.

    I am starting to think that something is wrong with my TV cards or the way they have been set up. I rather often get this message that this channel is not supported by the current card (or something like that) when I try to view a TV channel. And usually this seems to be the case for all TV channels, no matter whether they are digital or analog. Do you also get this from time to time? At the moment I don't stand-by or hibernate my computer, so it is not an issue of waking up. When I restart the computer it works ok again. I don't recall having these problems before installing FTR, but I might be wrong.

    I was getting that sort of error. I have 2 cards installed. It turned out that one of them wasn't correctly configured, resulting in FTR only having one available. So if I tried watching a show and recording another, it couldn't. I found the errors by checking the log files. Sorry, I'm not at my htpc so I can't be more specific, but if you look for the tv server log files you might find them there.
