Congratulations to the MediaPortal development team on delivering their 1.0 release just before Christmas!

I'm also happy to report that For The Record 1.3.1 works out-of-the-box with both the final 1.0 MP TV Server and the final 1.0 MediaPortal client.

I have to mention that 4TR forces you to use streaming in a single seat installation, which is not a nice thing (main reason why I havent even tested 4TR.)
Just wanted to say that starting with For The Record 1.3.2 BETA 1 there will be an option to use the timeshifting files rather than the RTSP stream, so this point will soon be moot.

And since we don't like to differentiate between multiseat or single-seat users this option is available in both setups. So you can just as well stream over UNC in a client/server situation.

Maybe something like this bat file may be useful, this will move tvguide.xml from the default Directory set in the likes of WebEPG to the above directory for 4therecord.

I agree, and may well be on dvdfreak's list of todo options, one less thing to worry about for user once setup, might also stop the occasional blank tv guide (now\next still show ) if there has been a scheduled task failure.

does anybody else experience a little problem when exiting mp via remote that the screen won't instantly show the desktop but the last "frame" of mp instead until you press any key on you keyboard/move mouse? i'm not sure if this only occurs since 1.0 final, i think it also was in rc4, but what i can say is that this only happens with installed 4tr... without it mp 1.0 final quits as it should... quitting with alt+f4 also shows desktop instantly...

I am also experiencing that symptoms. Never bothered to investigate it. Good finding of yours to link it to 4TR. Hopefully dvdfreak can assist us?
