Is it possible, and if so is there an idiots guide, to converting the .TS into a DIVX compressed .AVI (replacing the .TS) ?

    :D

    Chris

I think you can use this...

    MCEBuddy

i used it some time ago and automated it in my server, but something went wrong that stopped working and didnt bother to look into it.

whilst it was working, it was doing it correctly.

For The Record 1.4.0.1 has been released!

    Download here

PS: binaries for MediaPortal 1.1 Alpha will be uploaded later on, in the mean time it should be possible to use the binaries posted for 1.4.0.0.

The config is saved in the system's Common Application data path, e.g. C:\ProgramData\For The Record\MediaPortalTvServer.Channels.xml on Vista/Windows 7.

But this file is not deleted on a re-install, so normally your old links should be reinstated (as long as the databases haven't changed either).

Hey DVDFreak, wanting to purge my SQL database as I'm having some issues's but am also not to keen on re-assigning all my SKY channels.. Is there a way I can do I complete removal including SQL yet keep a certain config file that I can then replace once re-installed or is all the channel data integrated deep inside the SQL database..

I take it all the channel data is not stored inside the file you mentioned above as mine is only 58 bytes :D

    Thanks

You can open the file in question in Notepad actually, it's a standard XML text file :)

The links in the XML file contain the IDs of the channels in For The Record and in MediaPortal. So if you re-create either database I'm afraid the file will become invalid, and you'll have to re-do the linking.

The Following Exception Occured in the DataGridView + Runtime Error

Have had these two errors occur more recently, I believe since 1.41. Any idea's. Would produce logs but the Mediaportal, error and 4TR logs show no activity.

    Thanks

The top error I've never seen or heard about, looks like a very low-level issue.

The second error has to do with bad linking between TV channels and Radio guide channels. Could this be a left-over from one of the BETAs? Because normally this kind of linking should not be possible...
