Just to keep you up-to-date: I know what the problem is and it is indeed due to your locale having AM/PM times. I'll fix this before the next release.

dvdfreak, you are indeed brilliant ! :D

A question on futures and where you're headed with this wonderful addon, do you have plans to show the current status of the tuner cards ? i.e. show if something is currently recording. It's more of a real time function than a scheduling function, but I'd love one easy to use Web interface that "does it all". I believe there is meant to be a Web interface for MediaPortal coming, but as an ordinary user, I have not seen it yet.

TV Scheduler may indeed grow in scope in the near future, and learn about recording cards, conflicts, etc... And once that is in place it will be easy to add an indicator to the interface of course. The first part will require a lot more work unfortunately ;)

First off thanks for the suggestions...

Where can I get the tvguide.xml file in mediaportal, I'm not using xmltv, I'm using SchedulesDirect. I tried the xml file from there, copied the file to the directed, it moved to an "accepted" folder, which from looking through here is supposed to happen, but nothing ever showed up in the guide on the console management.

As for the tv web scheduler should I try installing it again and just watch the folder until files start appearing or what?

If the guide is moved to the Accepted directory it does look like it has been imported just fine. Have you looked at its content using Notepad or some other text editor? If you like, you can send me the guide or post it here and I'll have a look.

What folder? In wwwroot? The files should be there after installation, and if they are not, something went wrong during installation. Did you try "aspnet_regiis - i" as described on the first page of this thread?

This is looking really great dvdfreak, I hope you are in a constructive dialog with the team about integration of your services.

No dialog at the moment I'm afraid. I tried to get such a dialog going several times before, but apparently the devs I talked to are on a different wavelength, so I stopped trying :) Seems I'm making too strong a point of staying true to my original architecture and design, so for the moment I'm continuing with extending the scope of TV Scheduler, and we'll see where this all ends up...

I have some ideas on how the TVE3 plugin could be replaced with another "interface" between TV Scheduler and TVE3. Moving the actual recording control, conflict management and such into TV Scheduler's domain... Not something that will be done tomorrow, but along the road I plan to stay true to the original Service Oriented Architecture approach, and to keep putting stability very high on the priority list.

If you install IIS on an already installed XP machine you may have to run this command:

"aspnet_regiis -i" under "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727 "

whoops... misread that DVDFreak. Read that and thought I didn't have to run that command... sorry!

I didn't try looking at the content through notepad, I will try that and if I can't make sense of it, I'll post it here. More than likely I'll end up posting it here! ;) Thanks for your help!

seems like i have to repeat myselfe (again) :p

since we try to get the TV-Server _stable_, we can not, and will not make big code changes at this stage.

Seems resonable infinityloop, stable release point should come before new features at the present time. But does the team see dvdfreaks work integrated in the long run? And are steps being made, som the two structures will be able to function together? I mean, is there a positive take on the TVScheduler inside the team?

I remember reading a discussion earlier on regarding the subject, but without a clear conclusion.

I hope you understand the questions in the spirit they are intended. I mean, the positive opensource, lets get better together spirit. you know...

Sure, and I have no problem with that. But in the mean time I'm following my own agenda of course :D

dvdfreak... I was going through the pictures you posted in the first post. The last one for the webscheduler caught my eye this time. Are you able to schedule recordings based on what the description and only the description contains? IE - I'm a TarHeel fan and their games along with every other college basketball game is titled college basketball. I have to go through the epg and manually record every game. Can I put "North Carolina" in the description box and it will record whatever show has "North Carolina" in the description?
