With mine, the Fusion software works fine, but MP sees NADA. Autotune OR the wizard don't tune (Like Mulva, am getting a good signal strength).

The REALLY Annoying thing is that I checked to see if it works in MCE and it does without a hitch...

Is this sort of problem unique to the Dvico card? I love the PIP and Dual Digital feature, but am not recommending it until this is solved...

I had a similar issue, found out it was the internal USB cable that seemed to be causing the problem, and Im not the only one that has found that.

After changing to the external cable, PIP etc works in the Fusion app, sadly, the usb still doesnt pickup any channels in mp when using 'auto tune'. Havent played around much more yet, but will post if I find out the reason.

Cheers

Have you checked using GraphEdit that the defintions for the card in CaptureCardDefinitions.xml is correct? I presumed you had above. When I got my Dual Digital and installed the drivers the pins section (like video=2, etc) was not right at all for either tuner.

EDIT: I think I found my modified definitions, they might work for you?

<capturecard commercialname="Dvico FusionHDTV Dual 1" capturename="FusionHDTV, Transport Stream Capture" devid="ven_14f1&dev_8802&subsys_db5018ac&rev_05">
<capabilities tv="true" radio="false" mpeg2="true" mce="false" sw="false" bda="true"></capabilities>
<tv>
<interface cat="capture" video="2" audio="3" mpeg2="1" sectionsandtables="5"></interface>
<filters>
<filter cat="networkprovider" name="Microsoft DVBT Network Provider" checkdevice="false"></filter>
<filter cat="tunerdevice" name="FusionHDTV, BDA Tuner" checkdevice="true"></filter>
<filter cat="capture" name="FusionHDTV, Transport Stream Capture" checkdevice="true"></filter>
</filters>
<connections>
<connection sourcefilter="networkprovider" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="tunerdevice" sinkpin="0"></connection>
<connection sourcefilter="tunerdevice" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="0"></connection>
</connections>
</tv>
</capturecard>

<capturecard commercialname="Dvico FusionHDTV Dual 2" capturename="Bluebird, WDM TsCapture" devid="vid_0fe9&pid_db50">
<capabilities tv="true" radio="false" mpeg2="true" mce="false" sw="false" bda="true"></capabilities>
<tv>
<interface cat="capture" video="2" audio="3" mpeg2="1" sectionsandtables="5"></interface>
<filters>
<filter cat="networkprovider" name="Microsoft DVBT Network Provider" checkdevice="false"></filter>
<filter cat="tunerdevice" name="Bluebird, BDA Tuner" checkdevice="true"></filter>
<filter cat="capture" name="Bluebird, WDM TsCapture" checkdevice="true"></filter>
</filters>
<connections>
<connection sourcefilter="networkprovider" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="tunerdevice" sinkpin="0"></connection>
<connection sourcefilter="tunerdevice" sourcepin="0" sinkfilter="capture" sinkpin="0"></connection>
</connections>
</tv>
</capturecard>

This worked for me (for the PCI tuner at least, my USB part of the card was DOA. In this, for example, the interface for the Dual 1 card is
<interface cat="capture" video="2" audio="3" mpeg2="1" sectionsandtables="5"></interface>
In contrast to this in the provided file:
<interface cat="capture" video="3" audio="4" mpeg2="1" sectionsandtables="2"></interface>

Woot, just got mine :lol:

Do I need to edit my definitions file or are they included in the latest cvs?

Also whats the analoge audio cable for?

I made the changes (ie 2,3,1,5 instead of 3,4,1,2), I did finally get one channel recording while watching another, but after a while it crashed, and then I couldnt get more than a few seconds of TV without it freezing. I think those settings are good though, probably something else I have done, trying a different cvs now to see how I go.

Analog audio cable is for the s-video and composite in, which won't work in MediaPortal as it is S/W (unless someone wants to contribute to the s/w card section). If you are not using this feature you don't need it plugged in.

When I follow these steps, in mp config i can select the first tuner (the second one doesnt show up for some reason, how can i tell if it's faulty?), but mp says it is "Unable to create a graph for this device!!" and I can't do any channel tuning. Suggestions?

I would check in graphedit that the drivers/filters you are using attach to the right pins and are named correctly. With various drivers, etc these things changed and are probably causing that issue.

Also, the dual DVB patch is defintely needed (as it is for anyone using more than one DVB card).

I have graphedit, but can make no sense of which filter i should be looking at, and which pins I should be noting down. Can anyone provide some guidance there?
