Just tested, not working!

Very surprising! Are you sure you put the shortcut in the right folder? MS uses different folder names & paths under different language & different OS versions. Under Windows 7 English it would be something like:
C:\Users\<MPuser>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
where <MPuser> is the login of the user you set up to run MP.
The easiest way to get to it is usually to open up the Start Menu to "All Programs" (or whatever), right click on "Startup" (or "Autostart" or whatever) and select "Explore" from the startup menu.
As an alternative, if you are comfortable editing the registry, you could try putting the MPtray startup in the correct registry key, which will be something like:
HKEY_USERS\<SID>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
the value under the key should be:
"MPTray"="C:\\Program Files\\Team MediaPortal\\MediaPortal\\MPTray.exe"
To find out which SID to use for the account which starts MP, look under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
Click on each SID underneath until you find the one with the right "ProfileImagePath" value.

I have the latest version of the KeyboardInputPlugin installed in my new v1.2.1 MP which I built last weekend however when I open the plugin by selecting CONFIG, I can only see the buttons for INPUT, DOWN, NEW and REMOVE. The row with the important SAVE button is completely missing. I have tried resizing the window, changing screen resolution,re-installing, running As Administrator, tabbing etc but I still cannot get to see or have access to the save button.

Please tell me I'm doing something ridiculously stupid and set me on the right track with this.

Congratulations with New Year !

Near last time i update all complect - w7+ati drv+mp 1.2.2+plugin and lost volume tuning(v+, v-, mute). OSD volume slider move but no result. My sound way is ATI HDMI to TV. Small research show that change the audio reender dont help. I means that in setup of MP now "Use volume regulator" now gray on "wav" and writen that it is depenced from OS. Dont now how but it work one week ago.
Please say how te resolve, thanks.

Question dont for here. Volume dont work only on MKV, will find in reender.

I am trying to get this working with the Speedlink 6399 SBK and for some reason, I can't.

I'd like to ask a few questions -

Do I need to set a remote type using the MP remote configuration (like general HID device, etc)?
I have deleted the old keys and alerts settings and imported the configuration file you give with the plugin, but it's still not working.. what am I doing wrong?!

Do I need to set a remote type using the MP remote configuration (like general HID device, etc)?
I have deleted the old keys and alerts settings and imported the configuration file you give with the plugin, but it's still not working.. what am I doing wrong?!

MP Config settings have no bearing on the actions of the plugin (at least that I have found anyway).
What I do is find out what the device actually is and set MP to that just to be on the safe side. If your remote is an actual MCE remote then set it to that, or HID for any HID devices or unlisted generic devices, but in reality I dont think it matters.

Can you offer more infomation on how it is not working?

I have tried:
Removing the global keys and alerts that you access through expert configuration.
Turning on and off the MP remote settings for all different types of devices.
Installing a program called eventghost (although i evidently have no clue what i'm doing)
Installing generic keyboard plugin, loading the included file for the speedlink remote.

I can't use the remote to start mediaportal with the green button, and inside the program only the arrow keys and the ok button work!

I did try the button assignment function but it didn't seem to work either - is there a guide available?

I am probably stupid. I have so far failed to get this plugin to work for me

The remote I have (Moneual) does most of what I need it to. But there are a couple of keys I need to change.

For example, the info key. On my keyboard, pressing Y brings up info about the TV programme. I want to be able do this from the remote. But the info key issues F10 which does nothing

So, I have installed your plugin and I have got to the point where I have the mappings screen. All the keys initially display None (as per your documentation)
Selecting Generic Buttons, Info, all layers, No condition, I now get to the point where I can show:

Name: Generic Buttons
Name: Info
Key: Y
Layer: All
No Condition box ticked
Action box ticked
Drop down box 'Show Info'
Sound None

I can save & close

Start MediaPortal, the remote info button does nothing

Go back and get the plugin config screen up - test the remote Info Key - and it transmits F10 (as before) when I want it to be understood as Y

Perhaps I have completely misunderstood the whole process (highly likely). Any words of wisdom?
