I love this plugin and wondering why it's not standard of mp.

I have an question. (i'm on my work so I can't make a screenshot at the moment)

I use the skins: x-factor and streamedMP.
But in both versions on my monitor: 40" 1920x1080 global search aren't correct displayed.
the words above the page are displayed abow eachother

Can this be fixed by a skin? and has somebody a skin for it?

and is it possible to search also into movies of pictues?
so global search would really be global?and sorry about my poor english. I'm dutch

A skinning question

Hi there

can anyone tell me what <visible> code I need to use to get a thumbnail as shown in the CD case below in the Search Music plugin screen? (this screenshot is from the My Music plugin)

I've tried variations of "Control.HasFocus(50)" & "control.hasthumb" but haven't come up with the right one yet

PS. The link I added to Search Music in the slide in menu in My Music is awesome - extremely handy! I wish I'd added it sooner! Search Music has even made it to my signature

Look at mymusicgenres.xml line 261 at Blue3.
Is that what you are after?


Btw: There's no need to add a link to the music menu. More than a year ago, i've added code, which checks, if "Search Music" is enabled and then the standard "Search" button invokes the "Sarch Music" dialog instead of the standard search.

Hi, thanks for this great plugin!
I've a problem with the virtual keyboard!
When I type the R on my keyboard, it executes the keyboard shortcut instead of just accepting the value R in the field... and the R shortcut in mp means record actual tv show!!
To insert an R in the searh string I've to move the cursor with the remote... instead of simply press R on the keyboard!

Any solution or suggestion!

Is it already possible to start a search via the hidden right-pane menu in Music? I think it can even be done manually in some xml file..

is it only me, or do we have a general problem.
the skinfile for Blue3 seems to be totally broken. e.g. it has a black background and we have x-coordinates above 1000 for the details screen.
which shouldn't happen on a 720x576 skin.

Is this still (MP 1.0.1. and Global search plugin 1.7.0) working? It does not work here. Neither with B3 4:3 nor xface.
Searchmusic is installed and enabled and shows and works in main menu but not from search button in music!
Can someone confirm this? Or is there any option in configuration that I missed?

I have a stable 4:3 skin running here atm for this latest plugin. Works like a charm so I guess something needs to be done for the default skin files then.
I hope a new aMPed version will be released soon.

I think the plugin's ID has been changed so the skin you use needs to be updated

After having installed 1.64b using the MPI in MP 1.0.1, I tried to install 1.7.0 in MP 1.0.2 using the MPI, but got an error dialog: "Error executing program!"
I am now trying to install manually, but see that many of the new skins have XML files for GlobalSearch with newer dates than those in the 1.7.0 zipfile.
Which XML files should I use?
