i can confirm this. just installed 1.0.2 and then the searchplugin mpi-version. same result as hwahrmann said. black background, wrong scaling in details screen, once you move to the top 2 menu items you can't go back below them (02.jpg)...
then i tried the zip-file and there the plugin works - nothing black etc any more.
i can confirm tomtom21000, for me it also does not work if i want to use the searchbutton in mymusic. it does not lead me to the searchplugin! but i can remember that in earlier days this worked...

i'm using lyric plugin 1.30 ...any idea?

Correcting myself.
Because the plugin has been renamed this is no longer working.
i still had the old module name of a previous install in my mediaportal.xml, so i didn't notice it.
fix is already in svn and will be available for 1.1.0

I disabled the lyrics search due to the compatibility issues that occured sometimes. I will try to add it again and then I think I need to compile the lyrics code into the GMS code, so there will be no compatibility issues anymore. Not sure of that though. :sorry:

Feature request: find mp3's with karaoke (.cdg) files
Hi,
I have a large number of karaoke albums on my harddisk. These are in .mp3 format (audio) with corresponding .cdg files (video). Using Karaoke for DirectX 2.3 directshow filter i'm able to play these pairs of .cdg and .mp3 files as video. For that, i use myvideo's to play the .cdg files. I just added .cdg to the media list and i hid the .mp3 files (as described here). But one cannot search in myvideo's. Launching the .cdg files from mymusic also works, but here it's kinda stupid to hide the .mp3 files

That's where this plugin could come in... I imagine it shouldn't be that hard to add a 'karaoke mode' option in the global music search plugin that -when enabled- only searches in id3 tags of mp3's having a .cdg file paired with it. An easier option would maybe be to only search through mp3's in a given karaoke-directory, or to manually tag al the mp3's with .cdg files with some kind of flag indicating that it's a karaoke file.
Then -when returning the results found in the mp3 tags- it should give the .cdg files as a search result, because these are the file you wanna click on to start (otherwise only the .mp3 file starts and the 'fancy' karaoke lines aren't used).
d-fader: What do you think: can this be done? And secondly are you willing to try it?

How do I get album covers to show in the details screen? They dont' show for me using any of the skin files provided! Is it because I don't use folder.jpg? All my thumbs are in the [userdata]\thumbs\music\albums folder. I am using Vista so my [userdata] folder is C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\
