But hardware only is interesting if it supported by mp, i don't know if mp support all the hardware encoders. how can I know if a card will be suported?
I'm thinking on the lifeview t2a2m or the t2a2.
If i want the t2a2m I must wait till april (is the hardware version), the software version is avaible now.
Um... it say analog hardware encoding... so I suppose that dvb channels doesn't need the hardware encoder because they are streamed in mpeg format, isn't it?
Um... then maybe isn't as important as I thinked... at my city only 6-8 channels arrive by analog signal, and 25+ for digital, and some of the analog channels can be turned at dvb system aswell... maybe is not necesary the +30€ inversion on the hardware encoder... I must think about it...
Thanks for help.
I currently have two Quatros running, one connect, one duo using OTA antennae, mostly UHF fringe area, mostly cat5 local network.
Hauppauge card retired long ago. I have also retired very early SD units, the Quatros seem to work much better than the older units.
Go to SD's support website and download and install the windows...

maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck?
Preferable with as much disabled as possible
also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything)
maybe other programs competing for resouces?
