Sorry, I'm 1 version behind the latest (Im still on the latest RC1)(not realy that brave) changing the timeshift path didn't fix it. I wathed the folder and a file did appare there but I dind't see it ever get over 0Kb and it was deleted a few seconds later (when the error was shown). It would be possable that the file did increce in size and just wasn't reported that quick by windows (would have been in use). I only changed the path for the 2 analogue tuners as all my digital tuners work fine.

I can update the version if you think it will help but such a major operation will probably have to wait till I have a day free, and that probably won't happen till 2 weeks time.

Also it would be helpful if you could stop the TV-Server, start again and than do a scan or try watching a channel. Otherwise the graph building isn't in the log and we don't know if everything was build up correctly.

yes it is. If thats the problem there must be something I can transplant out of XP. I can't test in another box as that is the only PC with a PCIexpress slot. is that definatly the problem? I thought the problems were all digital TV related (and that works fine in my case)

I will try to do the graphbuilder thing as soon as possable, somebody just started watching the TV so I better not kill and restart the service now.

The missing TVEncoder isn't a problem as your card doesn't have a hardware encoder. First of all you should update to latest SVN or at least update MPFileWriter with the file from the second post of this thread: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...hot-05-02-2008-18-58h-revision-19010-a-39158/

Than you could also try my analog patch (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/development-91/patch-improvements-analog-cards-33290/) and try some different encoders. Please use it only with the corresponding revision of TV-Server.

Thanks a lot for that information, I thought it was a problem and have been searching for a way to get one (I thought it may have been needed only when I did not have a hardware encoder)
    what about
    AddTvMultiPlexer no multiplexer devices found
is that also related to hardware encoders only?

I have just downloaded todays SVN, I will try to install it as soon as possable, but it probably won't be tonight. hopefully the upgrade will be easy now with the new installer.

AddTvMultiplexer is mostly also related to hardware encoders. But in your case it looks like no problem as the rest of the graph building looks good.

You should read the note on the hp (MEDIAPORTAL - free MediaCenter HTPC Software - RC1 SVN builds started) before you update to latest svn.

Yeah, I read that, it looks like I should be OK if I uninstall saying I don't wan it to kill my database and then install the SVN specifing TVLibrary when needed. I just installed on another PC and I don't seem to have any of my old channels but is entirly posable they weren't there before the upgrad anyway (I checked there is still only the one database)
