    Okay Wile E

I've removed the code that doesn't wait for PMT on retune - I possibly could have fixed it, but it seems to only be causing trouble. I've also incorportated your Colossus code :)D) with a few minor modifications (like logging -> "HDPVR:..." or "Colossus:...", which just makes things a little nicer). The final thing that I've done is to include more thorough quality control support. I'm not sure if the HD PVR or Colossus support that, but code support was partially there so it either needed to be completed or taken out entirely. Patch and binary attached...

    Fantastic! You are the man!

I will try it tonight and post the results...

    :D

    Hi,

Would it be possible for someone to clarify?

Does the HDPVR work in MediaPortal 1.2.0alpha?

Also, I guess (but remember I don't make the decision) the Colossus support will not be included in 1.2.0beta, as this is a new feature.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

Actually, the alpha had the HD PVR code broken.
Maybe Wile can confirm but I think if you install Alpha and use the attached TVLibrary - HDPVR - Colossus SVN 27557.zip in the first post you should be able to get it to work. If that doesn't work then report back here and we'll help.

I don't actually have one of these devices, so my only aim is to help getting the beta done and out of the door.

Understandable, I know people are pounding on the door for the new Beta. But hopefully the last modification by mm will fix the channel change issue and he can commit tonight (or tomorrow morning for you :) ) Fortunately/unfortunately I was off sick Monday and Tuesday so I could do some testing during the day, but today Im back to work so I cant test until tonight :(

    @sjeffrey,
Maybe I am remembering wrong, but I thought the Alpha worked fine but later SVN's were broken due to changes to the Analog classes? Thats why we have been hounding the devs so we could ensure it was fixed in 1.2 beta? Its been a while back and I have gone through many different revisions/SVN's since then, so I could be remembering wrong :)

Either way it is very close now... :D

    Wile E.

    I wouldn't argue but I'm 90% sure it didn't work. :)
I remember installing it it and then needing to go back to 1.1.2 for a working install.
Anyways, let's focus on getting it good to go for beta and then alpha will be a thing of the past :)

BTW, thanks to you and mm for putting in all the effort. Let me know if you need anything but you seem to have it under control.

Hmmm, curiosity got the best of me so I searched the original HD-PVR thread. The only thing I found was this post ->https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...auppuage-hd-pvr-45382/index91.html#post688663

    So you were correct :)

Well- I wouldn't blame 1.2 Alpha right away. I think most of my HDPVR problems were thermal. I'm still having some thermal issues, and I'm on my second HDPVR unit (after an RMA with Hauppauge). Looking back, I think just turning the HDPVR off for the couple days while I did a clean install helped it to work for a day or two. I eventually needed a full-sized desk fan blowing on my HDPVR 24/7 to get any kind of real stability.

In any case, I'll be testing 1.2 (beta, or latest SVN) this weekend too. I really appreciate all the work you guys are doing.

Luckily my daughter is Tech Savvy, I called her and she put in the patch and it is working great! Both the HD-PVR & Colossus are working...

    Go ahead and commit...

LOL, so we are finally at the era that "wife friendly" and "kid friendly" means a total different thing now are we? :)
