Updated to 1.2 Alpha and can't get any paytv channels to work anymore. Everything seems to be as before, but no matter what I try, tuning into paytv channel just gives "channel scrambled"... :(

Also I found out that if I first go to WinTV-CI config, then to some other part of TV-Server config and back to WinTV-CI config, all tuners are shown twice in the list. If I do this again they are shown three times and then four and five etc.
hi
i've the same problem
and then, often i must reset association

    Hi sturby

This is a bug that I have fixed for 1.2.0rc. I've also fixed the bug mentioned by WsQ. You won't be able to use 1.2.0a with the WinTV CI at all, but you could use 1.1.x or 1.2.0b with the patch provided -->here<--.

    Best regards,
    mm

    Hi again sturby

ehm, with bsod it's very difficult!
All that I was trying to do is understand when the BSOD happens. The last entry in the logs should tell me that, so all you needed to was trigger the BSOD, restart, and then use the watchdog with option 3 to grab all your logs.

    Here my logs.
    :D
So, to produce the logs it looks like you tried to tune a handful of FTA channels (Italia1, LA7, Rai 4, Canale5 +1...). That seems to have been successful. After that, you tried to tune the Premium Comedy channel, which is encrypted. TV Server detected that channel was scrambled:

    2011-07-27 00:32:11.187920 [(5)]: card: StartTimeShifting 2 E:\Timeshift\live2-0.ts
    2011-07-27 00:32:11.188920 [(5)]: card: CAM enabled : True
    2011-07-27 00:32:11.189920 [(5)]: card: WaitForTimeShiftFile - waiting _eventAudio & _eventVideo
2011-07-27 00:32:26.190778 [(5)]: card: WaitForTimeShiftFile - no audio was found after 15,000858 seconds
2011-07-27 00:32:26.191778 [(5)]: card: WaitForTimeShiftFile - audio and video stream is scrambled

The reason for that is that your WinTV CI is not assigned to a tuner:

So that behaviour should be able to be resolved simply by linking the WinTV CI to your Hauppauge tuner...

I'm left a little uncertain here.
    When does the BSOD occur?
Does it occur if you link the WinTV CI and then attempt to view a channel?
What happens if you enable preloading for the Hauppauge tuner and also link the WinTV CI to it? (I'm wondering whether attempting to use the WinTV CI with the tuner, or attempting to descramble channels is actually causing the BSOD)
Are you using the latest drivers for the WinTV CI and tuner?

    Hi mm1352000!
    thanks for your interest.

The driver of dvb t and ci module should be the last... I've posted a full mp logs after bsod.

    Hi again Marco

Here is the error I see in the logs that is probably causing the crash (in the tuner initialisation):

2011-07-27 23:57:16.543755 [(3)]: dvb: Adding WinTv CI to graph
2011-07-27 23:57:16.637355 [(3)]: dvb: WinTv CI not plugged in or driver not installed correctly!

Have you ever actually had the CI working with MP (in 1.1.3), or is this your first attempt to use it?
I ask because I honestly can't see why the crash is occurring...
