I bought the 930c for DVB-C which works with Win-TV and Dvbviewer but in TVServer i only have DVB-T and analogue cable. Is there a way to geht DVB-C working in MP?

edit: maybe this helps from the german dvbviewer forum: http://www.dvbviewer.info/forum/index.php?showtopic=30354
They just change the tuner type from DVBT to DVBC and this works.

I got it running with dvb-c after switching the default tuner to dvb-c.

The hauppauge driver was unstable with dvb-c so i switched to the driver for TerraTec Cinergy HTC USB XS HD (the 930c is the same)

It works except for anixe hd, I can only get sound and no picture.

I was able to return the 930c and got a Technisat Cablestar HD2 - I had no problems at all with this card. So: I am happy now!

what exactly did you you have to do to switch default tuner to dvb-c?

and have you had any other problems? like slow channel changing etc (with mediaportal)

    thanks

By changing the priority in the config: TV-Server/Configuration/TVServers - MediaPortal Manual Documentation.

I thougt there was a way to set the default tuner to DVB-C right on the card or something. My problem is that i dont even get the DVB-C part of the HVR-930c to show in MP, it just shows DVB-T, and analog... ??

Then you need a more recent driver. I've also read somewhere (in this forum) that there is exact the same device with another product name / manufacturer with better drivers. Worth a shot.

I have tried that too.. Terratec driver gave me same problem.. The newer driver wouldn't keep the card alive..

Well ill have to do some more research than..

    Thx for the answers..

BTW Zeebee, do you got the DVB-C part of the 930c to work under MP??
