Hope to able to catch your attention, and help, one more time on this.

I´ve now tested the HD Homerun on a Windows 7 x64 system also and found exactly the same issues with HD Homerun tuner detection there.

I of course optimisticaly tried to use your modified dll for that setup as well....

Sadly that was a no go!

Could I ask you to take a look at it for Windows 7 x64 system as well?

- Here it goes wrong first detecting the card and afterwards cannot find it.
HD Homerun tuners doesnt show up in config excerpt for example timeshift and recording folder config.

Rather strange that the HD Homerun tuners doesnt show up in config but is allocated folders for recording and timeshift isnt it?

Win7 x86 works fine using 1.1 with latest 24281 svn.

No go for Win7 x64 using 1.1 beta and latest 24281 svn.

I'm afraid that DMANs hack to force old provider for your card doesn't work on x64 at all, maybe because of other drivers.

If the vendor don't provide correct tuner type for generic network provider (means first DVB-C, not -T), then we can't do much

Thanks for commenting on this issue.

If possible could I please ask you to explain the need for the drivers type announcement a little more in detail so I can take the issue back to the vendor who does state support for MP/TVserver?

Would love to help get this unit fully supported also on x64.

Since several providers here in DK has decided to skip encryption on their cable signals the HD Homerun is actually a good option here.

This means if the tuner filter first accepts DVB-T this makes the choice (this is what you see before patching ...)

Now DMANs patch forces the older type-specific providers (DVB-C....), which is maybe no longer supported or working on x64 (?)

Only thing I can offer quickly, is to provide a modified .dll without patch, but with more logging of the available network types. Maybe this help us to solve the wrong detection issue....

The attached .dll doesn't do any patching (means force old provider), but loops over all available network types (I like to see if the card connects to more than DVB-T...).

Please try and attach logs!

two important points found there:

1. There must be a tool for user configuration provided with the drivers:
   

   Network Provider: DVBC / KSNODE_BDA_QAM_DEMODULATOR if user configures “Digital Cable”.

   Registry:
   The BDA driver configuration is per tuner, stored in:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Silicondust\HDHomeRun\Tuners\<device id>-<tuner index>
   Values are case sensitive.
   Name Valid Values
   Source “Digital Antenna”, “Digital Cable”, “Disabled”.
   Used by HDHomeRun Setup GUI to store user selection.

2. We probably still have to use the "old" provider (means DMAN's patch):

Please check the supplied tools, if you can force "Digital Cable", then test the svn build. In theory it should use the "old DVB-C" network provider and find your card.

Thanx again for working on this.

You are perfectly right there IS an application used to define which mode the HD Honerun is running.
In my case it is set to DVB-C as that is what is needed.
I´ve attached a dump of that part of the registry from the test rigs running Win7 x86 as well as Win7 x64 system for you to see how it looks when configured.

I replaced the svn 24281 vesions of the provided DLL´s with the provided test versions.
Besides the results in the attached logs the GUI visible result was that on both x86 and x64 the HD Homerun was back to being detected as DVB-T despite being set to DVB-C in the HD Homerun setup and also correct Digital Cable appearance in the registry.

I also tried hitting the edit button within TVsetup for the tuners and look into the Preferred Network Provider setting.
Only options here is to selcet the generic setting or to select DVB-T setting which the tuner, as stated above, allready is incorrectly detected as.

I hope the provided attachments and info is sufficient to take us a step further.

Let me know if there is anymore I need to provide or test out.

With your provided information I did following change:

I look into registry and check for "source" value under tuners leaf. If it is "Digital Cable", I'll prefer this provider.

The detection should work this way, but I'm not sure if graph building and tuning then still works....

Seems you nailed it.....
Tested it just now on the WIn7 x86 rig.
In TVsetup everything looks very well. The tuners appears as DVB-C and is able to tune.
In the MPclient there is pictures and audio, channel change is fine too....
So as far as the x86 system is considered, all is well.
