Is media portal ever going to implement Copy Once HDCP support so users of (Ceton) cable card tuners on Media Center can finally make the switch to media portal on windows 10? Thanks,
Ceton CableCARD tuners can already be used with MediaPortal to receive copy-freely content. They just can't be used to receive copy-once content. If you're one of the unfortunate people that subscribes to a cable provider such as Time Warner - which usually marks all channels except locals as copy-once - then MediaPortal isn't so useful. However, there are other cable providers such as Comcast and Verizon FiOS who currently don't do that. Long may it last!
With regards to support for copy-once content in MediaPortal...
This has nothing to do with HDCP.
Loosely speaking, the requirements are:
Implement or licence a CableLabs-approved copy protection scheme such as PlayReady or DTCP to enforce the restrictions of copy-once content.
Have CableLabs test and certify MediaPortal as compliant.
The costs of certification are completely unaffordable for an open source project like us which survives on donations. See for yourself: http://www.cablelabs.com/specs/certification/
Even if we had the money, the chances of us gaining certification while keeping our code open source are likely to be zero. Since we are not willing to close access to our source code on principle, there's probably no chance we will ever gain certification.
I've setup my HDHomeRun in MP1 as (4) IPTV cards rather than Atsc. I can see the (4) Atsc cards, but just have them disabled. I did it this way so I didn't have to edit the channel names every time tested a new TV-server install. Anyway, it works. I don't know if this would get you past the BDA driver issue. I'll provide more...

I have not experienced that myself, and I don't know of any reason why that might occur (but my knowledge of how TV Server works is not extensive).
It is strange that you mention this because there are now four DVB-T channels in the UK that behave in the same way (this is new for the UK). I think that these might be some sort of...
