    Hi folks!

i'm here again with a question

i noticed that my pvr hd2 freeze in this case:

powerup tv server and a client

let them idle for 30 min , better 1 hour or more (use case is when i watch a movie on the client e tv server stay idle for long time)

then when i start tv i get a can't start graph

    log says:

at this point i have just to pull pvr hd2 power plug, wait 10 sec then plug it again

start tv again and it works..... (no need to restart tv service)

is it reproducible with other systems ?

    thank you

    Hello

The log section contains the error code:
    [2015-06-24 10:01:33,800] [Log ] [64 ] [INFO ] - HDPVR: RunGraph returns:0x80070651

80070651 means "The device was removed.".

My guess is that this is related to power saving modes for either the HD-PVR or the USB chipset it is connected to. There's probably not a lot that TV service can do about it.

    Regards,
    mm

thank u for the tip, now i've disabled in advanced poweroptions "USB selective suspend setting" e in hardware management at the usb HUB the standby option.

    let's see if something changes

Yes, I thought pause would be better.

Thanks for reporting and sorry I'm not able to help further.

    Hey mm,
I see things are crazier than ever and you are staying very busy. We really appreciate you keeping at it and all the great work you have done for MP.

The patch you provided works great. I recently upgraded one of my original HD-PVR's with a HD-PVR 2 but I noticed the HD-PVR 2 wasn't recognized by MP, so I started searching and found this thread. I was reluctant to try the patch as it was originally built for the 1.5 MP version. I read through most of the thread and found that it was compatible, along with a few updated patches. I applied the patches and everything is working.

So... to save others hassle, do you know if this patch will make it into mainline? The reason I ask is since Microsoft has abandon Media Center I know everyone at MP would love to get people to give their Media Center a go. And as people try MP, more and more will start buying/using the HD-PVR 2 in the US. If this code were in the mainline, folks wouldn't have to search-find-wonder about the patch(s) and perform the manual upgrade. Just a thought...

Thanks again & keep up the great work! (y)
