Sorry to post again but I found another issue:
After watching a channel for about 45 minutes, suddenly the picture was freezing. The sound was still playing but after a few minutes, MediaPortal crashed.

    The tsreader.log shows
    22-07-2007 15:34:17 aud:fillbuffer exception
    many times...

    All logs are attached.

P.S. As always, i am using Cyberlink codes that are bundeled with my TT S2-3200. Also, I am using SVN 15280.

    UPDATE:
I just had it again. It seems quite reproducible here. After 40-50 min. of watching the same channel, MP crashes.

Some more test results for you - all major problems seem to have gone and have some odd results around changing between cards and sound drop outs accross transponders on the same card.

Below is a break down on the actions and attached are the logs.

    MP & TV3 SVN 15285
All options for disabled in tv plugin

    Cards
    TT S2-3200 (Driver 5.0.0.2 02/05/2007)
    PVR-500 (Driver 2.0.48.24227 15/08/2006)
    (2 x Sky STB -> SVHS #1 Input)

    Codecs
    Nvida Purvideo
    Cyberlink H.264/AVC Decoder (PDVD7.x)

    Test

    Start channel/PVR-500 C4 ok 1 x Nivida icon
Ch-/Card S2 ITV ok Adds 2nd Nvidia icon
    Ch-chanbel/Card S2 BBC2 ok
    Ch- chanbel/Card S2 BBC1 ok
    Ch+ Channel/Card S2 BBC2 ok
Ch+ Channel/Card S2 ITV No sound Fixed by selecting manually selecting Audio Lanugaue
    Ch+/PVR-500 C4 ok Adds 3rd Nvidia icon
    Ch+/PVR-500 Five ok
    Ch-/PVR-500 C4 ok
Ch-/Card S2 ITV ok Adds 4th Nvidia icon
Ch-/Card S2 BBC2 No sound (Fix as before)
    Ch-/Card S2 BBC1 ok
    Ch+/Card S2 BBC2 ok
    Ch+/Card S2 ITV ok
    Ch+/PVR-500 C4 ok Adds 5th Nvidia icon
backup to main menu and exit

It seems that switching cards does not cleardown/remove or reuse the Nvida condec, just creates a new...had it up to about 7 icons on the task bar before it crashed.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks

    Trevor

Hi again, I can confirm that the timeshift buffer problem seems to go away when disabling all the options in My TV Plugin (AC3 etc).

However, I can confirm that I have the same issue as MPUserFromGer - MP freezes the picture after 45-50 minutes of seing the same channel...

I haven't got the logs - since my wife wouldn't want me to stop MP and save the logs ... she was watching a movie...

    Regards

This is as known bug, sorry for letting you know this late. The video freezes as soon as maxbufferfiles are reached. So if you got 6 max files, video will freeze when "writing the 7th" which is actually the 1st again.

Frodo knows about this, so it's most likely fixed soon ;)

I see similar behavior "infinite Nvidia icons" with Todays SVN 15291 using Nvida codec (when changing channels between DVB-C and DVB-T cards).
Except, I dont get any crashes (but many Nvidia codec icons in notification bar).

When not using tsreader, the amount of Nvidia icons is limited to two (each card gets their own it seems).

I also get a breakpoint message when exiting MP after using tsreader (screenshot attached).

    Logs and screenshot attached.

I fixed today one resource leak (video output pin) that was most likely causing the "infinite" nvidia system tray icons issue to appear (graph is not released proprely when there are some objects left unreleased.)

Currently I don't have access to my dev PC, so it's not possible for me to rebuild the Tsreader.ax filter, but I hope that Frodo will soon read this post and will do an update for the binary.

    Hi Frodo,

I just saw that you have fixed the hangup in tsreader after the timeshift files wrap around. That sounds great! I am really impressed how hard you are working on this :)

For me there are "only" 2 issues left then:
    1. When switching from a scrambled channel to an FTA channel, the video is black
    2. "Prefer AC3" option in MytV plugin. I am confused about that one because it has been mentioned that it is not yet supported by tsreader but when I enable it, it seems to work. Does this option still harm tsreader?

Thanks a lot for your effort.

    Best regards,

    Andreas
