Ah, well I can just say that the TSReader gets better and better. My problems with Cyberlink Audio is gone since SVN 16374.

And I have been using TSReader prime time with 16181 since 2 weeks with NO problems whatsoever (with DScaler Audio Decoder). Also blazing fast channel switching (compared to tsfilesource).

One thing that I have disabled is EPG grabbing. When that is enabled I get problems... So I think many of your problems is within the EPG grabber. As I am using XMLTV successfully I have no need with DVB EPG.

Using FireDTV DVB-T, SAA7134, XP SP2, Cyberlink Video and since SVN 16374 Cyberlink Audio Decoder.

So keep up the good work MP Team! :D

I've seen crashes with DVB-EPG grabbing idle-setting with multiple tuners (grabber event last on logs when crash occurs) but haven't so far seen this on my singletuner system.

It's for me a few weeks ago since I tested the TSreader, here are my findings:

    - Much better on changing channels, also there's less corruption in the image (using MPV)
    - The whole thing is running smoother
    - PMT ERRORS ARE GONE!!
    - I still don't get any tsreader logfiles? although I have c:\UseTSreader.txt
    - There's still some (it's less, but it's there) corruption in the image

keep on the good job guys!

Having some troubles setting this up.

I have read most of the thread but am trying to speed up the channel change time on my Sat. Card.

When I put the file into my c:\ directory, MediaPortal won't turn the tv on.

I have tried multiple different codec's etc in the MediaPortal setup.

Here are my log files, any help would be appreciated. Running with a twinhan 1020a on NA sat.

    Thanks,

    Derf

Have anyone been able to pick up KCAL-DT ATSC channel with sound in the Los Angeles area? I have been trying the TSReader/TVServer3/latest SVN of MediaPortal with FFDShow video decoder and various combinations of audio decoders. There are some ATSC channels that comes thru with video but no audio. This is only a problem only with certain channels. VLC cannot open the saved TS files either. Is this a problem with the TSReader or something else that another forum could help? I have the two different types, USB and PCI, ATSC tuners, both display the same problem.

    FYI:

    CoreAVC H.264 Video Codec - Version 1.6.0.0 (20071029)
    - Add: Rewrite of the DirectShow wrapper for better compability
    - Add: Option to override other h.264/AVC decoders (Merit change)
    - Add: Rewrite of the configuration dialog to be cleaner
    - Add: RGB656 and RGB555 Output format support
    - Fix: Resizing problems with MediaPortal's TS Reader filter
    - Fix: Small others fixes

viewing the stream from remote client

Whats the status about viewing the stream on a remote client? When I'm looking at LiveTV on the same machine where the server is installed everything works fine - even when changing channels. When I start to look at the stream from another machine - the stream starts from the beginning. I try to play fastforward in order the get "right" but that doesn't seem to work either. Is there a solution to this?

The remote machine is using a vlc client only, connecting to the server via rtsp://

Would love advices to fix this since we are using this at a distributed environment, or at least trying to.

    Cheers Patrik

Completely VLC related, nothing we can do about this on the TV server side. :sorry:

tourettes : Thanks for the fast reply. I can always use the vlc as a server on the tv-server machine but It seems that your solution handles the stream better.

Do you know any other lightweight clients that is preferable in order to solve my "problem"? Or do I need to use the mediaportal as a client on the other machines?
