    I can't use TsReader with last SVN(16511). I get no video/audio. I get this error in log:

    2007-11-12 12:46:52.421875 [Info.][MPMain]: TSReaderPlayer:exception while creating DShow graph Nullpointer input not allowed ( IAudioStream ) en MediaPortal.Player.TSReaderPlayer.GetInterfaces(String filename)
    2007-11-12 12:46:52.421875 [Info.][MPMain]: TSReaderPlayer:GetInterfaces() failed

    No problem with TsFileSource. Tried different video/audio codecs.

    I was using 16098 SVN till today with no problem at all.

    Thank you very much.

    Have you also updated the Mediaportal to the same SVN version?

    Sorry tourettes. I realized one hour ago that I updated MediaPortal to RC3, but forgot to apply SVN patch to 16511... :p I did it now and no problems at all (anyway, I still have the same behaviour when recording usind dvb-s card, as we are discussing here)

    bye and than you for your attention.

    Seeking in live TV or recordings

    Hi,

    Just a reminder/check.

    Is it well known that you cannot seek (fast forward or rewind) either live TV or recordings on a network client using TSReader? I have never been able to do this.

    When I try to fast forward a recording, initially at say 2x speed, the counter does move forward, but only slowly - more like 1x speed - and when I then press play it has moved forward through the recording, but there is no live preview. It doesn't seem to matter what video/audio decoder I use.

    With recordings, if I play the same recordings in my video, they seek fine.

    This has been a problem for me since day 1 with TSReader, but isn't in Mantis and no mention of it in bug fixes.

    I'm only mentioning it again now, as it seems that this is the only (for me) show stopper with TSReader. Everything else is working perfectly.

    I'm running SVN from about a week ago, in case anything has changed since then - however, there has been nothing in the SVN changelog to suggest this might be fixed.

    Has anyone else got seeking working on a networked client? If so, maybe we can compare notes and see what I am missing. My network is wired, 100Mbps and 1Gbps.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    I've never been able to seek on a network client TSReader or TSFileSource. If the stream is 6Mbps then seeking at 2x is 12mbps and seeking at 4x is 24mbps etc? Is this true??? It would be good if the rtsp had an option to only send every 2nd frame or only every 4th frame etc for seeking that way the bandwidth requirements wouldn't increase. Possible? I don't know? Can I re-phrase the question: "Has anyone had seeking working on a wired network client with TSReader or TSFileSource?"

    yes we know about the bug. and don't worry, seeking doesn't explode your bandwith needs (once it is working) :)

    I'm currently putting my back into tsreader.

    Fixing ;
    1) Seeking in rec. TS files over rtsp multiseat causes a deadlock in tsreader (MP hang).
    This often happens when doing 3-4 seeks on any TV recordings (TS). It only happens when u watch recordings over rtsp. In other words if u use myTv-Recordings, and not myvideos (file mode).
    It doesnt happen when seeking in live TV over rtsp.

    2) Seeking was really slow on multiseat, both on liveTV and on recordings.
    This is now fixed.

    The stuff is currently not in SVN yet, but I will commit it soon.

    Very good news gibman.

    By my part, I switched to SVN 16511 from a september one, and TsReader is working even better now. No glitches, faster zapping. :)

    Still having problems when recording, but nothing to do with TsReader, I suposse. I'm trying to help tourettes in this post:

    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/corrupted_ts_recordings_twinhan_dvb_s_bda-t29082.html

    Hope we find the problem... :p

    I've just tried TSReader again, everything latest SVN and I'm not able to seek at all (singleseat client) it just hangs with a half-drawn time bar, hit play and it resumes playing. Is this just me or is it known problem? I use NVIDIA codec.
