On some channels I have a strange line on the top of the screen...please see attached screenshots.

Those lines are definately send by the broadcaster. You can use the crop setting in MP to cut few pixel lines of the video frame to get rid off those.
    I don't have them with the old TsWriter.ax ...

I'm 101% sure that it's the broadcaster as it's nearly impossible that we could create something like that by accident when decoding the TS packets. I have seen the similar "corruption" in my broadcaster's stream. Broadcasters simply don't care to remove it (if it's moving it's most likely some timing code) as almost all tv's and settop boxes are cropping some video data from the edges.

Ok media portal just crashed. this was happening on the last few svn's so prob nothing to do with the tswriter

Not caused by gemx's TsWriter changes. TsReader seems to fail to access the .ts files. We have seen similar issue already on multiple systems. Hard to be tracked down, but it's a high priority bug to be fixed.

Works good here. I'm having some problems with the epg on dish. only seems to be grabbing now/next, but they may have changed transponders for it. I'm going to try bell and see what happens...

    Edit:
They must have switched transponders. bell epg is perfect so far - no gaps. (I cleaned the programs table prior to the regrab) No gaps mentioned in log either. I think you've got it. :)

As for dish epg, anyone know what transponder(s) it is on? I can't get tsreader to work with my bda driver, so it's a pain to find on my own...

    Hi guys,

You've done a great job with the updated TsWriter. I used to have freezes but now it ran all night (no I did not stay up, but I checked the logs this morning) without any problems whatsoever. Channel change speeds are quite OK, but most importantly it works.

no problems with this Writer here. I have run MediaPortal over the night ... no crashes.
But with the "old" writed and the last svns i dont have any problems too. There was only the "Sat 1" problem, but in the last SVN this was gone with the old Writer.

    Running smooth here also!
I cant say that I'm seeing any difference here (maybe little longer channel changes?), but i have not had any problem with old tswriter what i know of.
Nice to see that so many got TVserver working better!

Nice to hear that the new TsWriter is working (when the old one was working also). We need also people who didn't have problems with the old version to test this new TsWriter.
