    Hi!

since 20.12.07 i test nearly each svn. No chance to get it work well for my setup.
I test 17150 without the new tswriter and get the same probs.

Now, with the new tswriter, it works nearly perfekt. :D

    Channel switching ist faster.
    no "no video/audio errors. "
radio works (if i stop any other stream before)
    recordings (ts) also works

thanks guys, perfekt work ... :D

I'll test all things for a longer time now and report my results

Nice to hear that the new TsWriter is working (when the old one was working also). We need also people who didn't have problems with the old version to test this new TsWriter.

I took Tswriter from this thread in use and have been running it couple hours now. cannot tell any changes to system I running as normal system from build. Therefore did not seem to brake anything for me, but can't see any improvements either in such a short usage.

I do have couple af problem with DVB subs at the moment and tested new tsreader did not have any kind of effect on those either. i guess it is not supposed to have anyway. (After some usage I get "26-01-2008 11:50:15 Too old timestamp! - diff was 1853820 ms" messages to log and other thing is that certain morning series freezes stream until jumped forward - will continue on these in correct thread)

Looks like you are using an older SVN version of TVE3 service than the new TsWriter.ax file that is provided in this thread.

Please always use latest TVE3 svn, and replace the installed tswriter.ax, with the latest tswriter.ax available from the first post by gemx.

This is critical, and saves a lot of wasted reports, run for at least 24 hours, before posting comments.

    Thanks

ps. gemx looking good here, timeshifting errors seem to have stopped when changing channel, no total lockup if channel off air, DVB epg downloading with both options in config selected (idle + timeshifting), no black video only audio playing errors upon channel change.

On some channels I have a strange line on the top of the screen...please see attached screenshots.

Those lines are definately send by the broadcaster. You can use the crop setting in MP to cut few pixel lines of the video frame to get rid off those.
    I don't have them with the old TsWriter.ax ...

I'm 101% sure that it's the broadcaster as it's nearly impossible that we could create something like that by accident when decoding the TS packets. I have seen the similar "corruption" in my broadcaster's stream. Broadcasters simply don't care to remove it (if it's moving it's most likely some timing code) as almost all tv's and settop boxes are cropping some video data from the edges.

    tourette,

as always you are right :D , it only happens on commercials from one specific broadcaster and with both new and old TsWriter.ax.

I can confirm that the new tswriter works good on a system that previously has the "no video/audio detected" issue.
The only abnormal behaviour is the CNN channel (sometimes only freeze channel or video without audio after a channel switch).
Another installation without that issue still works good.

    Thanks for your great work.
