Help us testing the new TsWriter (2 Viewers)

I still have some tv freeze during channel change ( started a session of MPTestTool to collect good logs ), but mainly bugs in italian streams are gone.

Only noticed some strange lines in logs:

Tswriter.log:

Last svn17159 anyway did not work for me (for DVB-S), regardless of this tswriter.ax

But it is looking good so far with svn17150 which I just installed.
EPG looks good for the first time in weeks (understand I need to thank this update for this)

This time I tried a channel change and received the no audio/video error. Here the log done by the MPTestTool and a screenshot of the error.

Hi, I've tested TsWriter v4 for about 1hr to see how it handles the jump in PCR. Well, It works ok !

I tested Canale5 and Italia1, both on Mediaset, the worst channels to see due to PCR jumps. They're ok now.

BTW, I attach MP and TV3 logs, just for info.

Looks like you are using an older SVN version of TVE3 service than the new TsWriter.ax file that is provided in this thread.

nope you are incorrect i am definitely using the new tswriter.ax as found in this thread and i am now using svn 17180 I still get no video/audio errors

I've tested the new TSWriter.
All tests done using preview in TVServer

1.
-On 2 channels when I try to preview I just get 1 frozen frame or just black, no audio
-These 2 channels are on the same mux, other channels on this mux work.
-This problem existed before the new TSWriter
-Attached are logs for the the preview, prefix: Frozen.

-Uploaded TSDump: NewZealand_TVWorks_12456_S_TV3_FTA

-On 2 Scrambled channels I have corrupt video.
-This problem is new since the new tswriter

My other channels (DVB-S FTA and analog all seem ok) But with the above 4 channels out of action I haven't had a chance to do extended tests, have to roll back to prevent dive in WAF!

i have done a clean installation of an TV-Server build from yesterday 20:00 CET
with V4 of the TSwriter i was not able to spot a single problem.

• channel-scan on Astra19.2°E and Astra19.2°E HD (dvb-s2) worked like a charm
• i did _a lot_ of zapping
• and left the test.pc timeshifting the whole night (11hours)

what i have not tested yet is recording and tuning an dvb-s2 channel in MediaPortal (worked in setupTV).
those are the next test i will do.

I am working on trying to get a good EPG grab using the idle grabber. Using V4 with 17200, I still can't it to do anything. Its been running for like 20 minutes and it just keeps getting these errors.

It seems to be going over all the channels on the transponder I am tuned too. My log is currently 23MB and growing. At this point, becuase of these errors, it will never continue on to do anything.

I just moved 17200 tswriter file back in and downloaded the 2 day guide in about 4 minutes. my tswriter file is very small. I have attached the grab from 17200.

I also have a RAW TS dump file I created from channle 200. The same channel I get my EPG from. Link is below.

Just to give you all a short update:
- i am still working on the filter
- the last filter version in post #1 is known to have errors -> no need to do more testing
- again totally reworked the sectiondecoder which works good except for NA :-(
- the section decoder in the SVN version probably really misses some sections
- i am currently debugging some NA tsdumps to find the problem
- already have some ideas how to optimize TsWriter a lot when it comes to section/table parsers

To sum it up, thanks very much for testing so far
the next version will come soon... ;-)
