ok.. when i open it in graphstudio.. graphstudio just vanishes... no errors

SAF4 is ~1 year old...
Please install latest SAF5 and post your SAF5 LOGs.

BTW, the crash happends on all files or only on *.avi? You can try audio files too *.MP3 for example.

Both links working fine here...

If MP3 works, must be video related.
Try to open any MPEG-2 video please...
