There is no Homeseer plugin for MediaPortal, I doubt there ever will be. However, that doesn't mean you can't control Homeseer from inside MediaPortal. There is a xAP plugin called Basic Home Automation, this allows you to control all manner of xAP devices. There are two xAP plugins for Homeseer that translate between the Homeseer SDK and xAP, they are xAP HomeSeer Plugin and mcsXap.
Once you have these setup, your Homeseer devices should show up on the xAP network and appear in the Basic Home Automation plugin (in it's setup page). Now you should be able to assign names, groups and icons to them. If you need any help getting started have a look at the Basic Home Automation thread, and if you have any questions try posting in it.
I have also been looking for such plugin as i am using an advance danish homeautomation system, which there has been made a plugin for in homeseer, so i am also hoping it possible to do so!
I am giving serious thought to writing it, the code is trivial (I'm a developer) the hard part for me is understanding how to make things happen in MediaPortal. My problem, not theirs!
Mostly I'd like to have device and event control so I'd be concentrating on that, not so much the setup side.
Don't hold your breath though, as it's my day job I tend not to do much software at home now.....
The controlling if I/O's would be quite simple as ive even managed to so with Java, but im not even close to familiar with the MP structure and coding.
Hi all,
I don't frequently update my MediaPortal and before seeing if it's really useful I used to browse the Changelog to determine if this update is necessary for my system or not.
Today I wanted to check the Changelog for version 1.34 (1.31 installed on my system) and I was asked for a “Jira” login. I tried to use the same one as...

Ran into this problem following an otherwise sucessful upgrade from MP 1.34 x64 to MP 1.35 x64 the CEC Remote plugin which I use just to control volume and standby, will no longer put my devices (TV & AVR) to sleep when the HTPC is put in standby. Also when I wake up the HTPC MP closes or crashes (not sure which) as per the example in...

The only changes I see are: Updated Marcel Groothuis version of the plugin to now support Media Portal 2.5
I can't say anything about the functionality of this plugin, I don't use TV Part, but if there are any changes that can be simply transferred, then I can try.
But I can't give any guarantees.
